9.15 HD models compared

Hope you are having a nice weekend, I just arrived from the Tiger Day at The Tank Museum and Jingles and I got some pretty decent footage for you (Will be posting later as I’m knackered)! Anyway…

FerrariHD is back with is usual videos where he compares the aesthetics of the new HD 9.15 models with current patch:

29/04/2016 Q&A

There’s a new Q&A for you, as usual gathered by Edrard and translated by Ivan:

– improved tank selection (carousels) will be added
– there will not be a skill reset during the WT E-100 – Grille switch
– the T-54 Light changes from supertest will not be present on live server (despite anything that was publisher earlier)
– the developers agree that gun stabilization (accuracy on the move) and terrain passability data need to be added to the client overview
– there are no plans to introduce voiceover for the shell type switch action
– collision model (armor viewer) will be added to vehicle preview later
– platoon bonus will only activate if all vehicles in the platoon have one tier, a LT8 + MT9 platoon won’t trigger it
– the fact that LT platoons will not get a bonus unless the tiers are equal is unfortunate but intended for now
– LTs being extended to tier 10? “No comment for now”
– a platoon of tier 1, 4 and 4 will get neither bonus nor penalty for troll platoons
– FPS should significantly increase for many players in 9.15
– WoT will move to a completely different engine approximately within next two patches. It won’t be a “different” engine per se, the overhaul of the current one will simply be complete
– the engine overhaul will include multicore support and optimization
– CoreEngine 3.0 (name of the “new” WoT engine) is the old name of the Bigworld that WG used internally
– the client size will not be reduced by the new engine
– it’s not yet sure if the new engine will use Dx9 or Dx11 render
– WG is dedicated to banning bots
– Panzer V/IV will keep its limited MM
– there are no plans to buff KV-220, if anything, it needs a nerf because it’s overpowered. It won’t however be nerfed
– E-25 will not be nerfed either, because it’s a premium
– for now there are no plans to abandon the 9.X patch numbering system
– the additional XP for tanks in platoon is not a discrimination of solo players according to Storm
– the actual XP bonus size for platoon tanks will be published later
– there will not be any possibility to obtain T-22sr. in 9.15 anymore (and after 9.15: “no comment”)
– there are no hull changes for the 113 tank in 9.15 (connected to 112 – which has an identical hull – fuel tank placement)
– buff for HT tiers 9-10 in 9.15? “Not decided yet”

VK 65.01 (H) German Tier V

there’s a new tank in Supertest called VK 65.01 (H), its a  tier 5 German HT:

A heavy tank VK 65.01 (Tier 5 German) designed in early 1939. Was planned to weigh up to 65 tons with 80mm frontal armor, 600hp engine and 75mm short gun as armament. The design went through several stages but by late 1940 it was deemed not practical for logistic reasons and was cancelled.

9.15 New Stats Display (Official)

last week I posted screenies and translated how the In-garage Stats will be displayed in 9.15, Wargaming finally wrote an official version:

“New Representation of Technical Characteristics

In the new version, players will be able to select the display format of technical characteristics: in the game settings players can select either the previous display format or the new one: open the game settings and check/uncheck the Display Simple Technical Characteristics in Garage option:

Tank Chats: Matilda II

Tank Chats from The Tank Museum is back with David Wiley, this time he speaks about the Matilda II which is currently receiving an overhaul:

Also today I was asked from a friend from the museum to warn you of this:

“As Tiger 131 was backed out of the Workshops today, unfortunately one of our Premium ticket holders also had to back out of the Premium Experience on Tiger Day this Saturday.
So there is one ticket available for the Premium Experience, for £195.
In order to be fair, anyone interested should send their contact details, including telephone number, to the Tank Museum Facebook Inbox and a name will be randomly picked tomorrow at 12pm…”

Jingles and I will be attending the Tiger day so if any of you wants to have a closer look at the only running Tiger 1 in the world and meet us… *wink*

9.15 HD Detailed armor changes

I have my little thoughts at the end of each list of tank changes.

•Vision slits no longer weakspots
•Raised area on engine deck removed

Verdict:  Still no armor, but at least it’s slightly less likely to get hit.

•Driver hatch is no longer a weakspot (+10mm)
•Vision slits no longer weakspots
•Hull floor buffed to 25mm (+15mm)
•UFP buffed to 58° (+1°)
•LFP nerfed to 29° (-7°)
•Rear side hull by engine deck no longer sloped (-33°) Continue reading
