9.15 #1 vs 9.15 #2 Test Server Changes (Official)

Hello,

this is very confusing, I could swear this would be 9.15 #3 but 9.15 #2 Test Server is ready for download (aprox. 18.7 MB).

These are the 9.15 #1 vs 9.15 #2 TS changes:

Game Improvements:

  1. Fixed the issue where the dynamic view range in Technical Characteristics exceeded the maximum value of 445 m in the tooltips of Equipment such as Coated Optics.
  2. Adjusted the calibration coefficients of the guns that had incorrect display of the Firepower characteristic.
  3. Fixed the formula for the calculation of the Survivability characteristic. Factors such as armour slope angles and the part of individual element’s area on the armor projection are now taken into account.

Technical Improvements

  1. Fixed an issue where the invitation to Platoon was still received even with the “Accept invitations to Platoon in battle” disabled.
  2. Fixed the issue where the Battle Results screen only displayed the amount of credits earned without Premium Account.
  3. Fixed the issue where the game remained in the windowed mode after minimization.
  4. Fixed the issue where two mouse cursors were displayed after the player pressed ALT+TAB.
  5. Fixed the issue with pressing ALT+ENTER twice in the Garage where the clan icon on the vehicle turned into a striped yellow-red square that read “Problem?”.
  6. Fixed the issue where Camouflage tiles were displayed in the Exterior menu (colored squares with gradient were displayed instead of actual Camouflage).
  7. Fixed the issue where dirt and dust still flew out from under the vehicle even when the appropriate setting was disabled.
  8. Fixed the issue where technical text was displayed in vehicle characteristics.

Tanks

  1. Changes in Japanese vehicles:
    • Type 4 Heavy:
      • Crossing capacity on solid terrain for the Type 4 Heavy Kai suspension increased by 15%.
      • Crossing capacity on medium terrain for the Type 4 Heavy Kai suspension increased by 14%.
      • Crossing capacity on soft terrain for the Type 4 Heavy Kai suspension increased by 10%.
      • Maximum forward speed changed from 20 km/h to 25 km/h.
      • Reload time of the 14 cm/50 3rd Year Type gun for the Type 4 Heavy turret changed from 20.8 s to 19.8 s.
    • Type 5 Heavy:
      • Dispersion on the move with the Type 5 Heavy suspension decreased by 25%.
      • Dispersion on hull traverse with the Type 5 Heavy suspension decreased by 17%.
      • Maximum reverse speed changed from 10 km/h to 11 km/h.
      • Reload time of the 14 cm/50 3rd Year Type gun for the Type 5 Heavy turret changed from 17.7 s to 17.1 s.
      • Dispersion on turret traverse of the 14 cm/50 3rd Year Type gun decreased by 14%.
      • Traverse speed of the Type 5 Heavy turret changed from 18 deg/s to 20 deg/s.
      • Durability increased from 2,800 HP to 2,900 HP.
  2. The Chieftain/T95, a Tier VIII U.K. medium tank, is now a Premium vehicle.

Recommendations

To fix the unstable behavior of the NVIDIA driver in SLI mode with DirectX 11, it is recommended to install driver version 365.10.

The improved DX11 renderer will automatically turn on for the video cards that support it. If your video card does not support DX11, the DX9 renderer will be used instead. The difference in renderers does not affect the game settings.

        If you google “hidden locations” and watch some youtube, you will see ridiculous positions that, if allowed to continue, would only increase people camping.

        Yes. Make lights more useful. But some of the spots they can get to (with relative ease) are OP.

        Oh noes. My invincible heavy tank is being penetrated from above. If only me and other heavies had the brains to…I don’t know..look the fuck up….or cap….or….the list goes on.

        The positions in the most cases aren’t going to win you games. They can do a bit of spotting and maybe some damage. But if you’re team is going to lose you will still lose. And vice versa.

        These positions simply allow light tanks to be even slightly useful. I mean take mountain pass. It’s a fucking corridor campfest. Light tanks are utterly shit on that map. The mountain goating allows them to actually do something instead of doijg donuts and drift inside the friendly cap circle.

        The map design in this game is utter shit. No one can argue that. If the maps they had were even half fucking decent then these kinds of positions wouldn’t be needed. Moreover if they had good fucking map design more than a fucking 1/3 of the map would be accessible anyway and there would be no need for large mountains etc to create the corridors.

        Im all for light power, but a guy should not get a uber spot because he watches youtube videos…That is almost RNG level

        They need to simply make maps better. Or better yet make lights the only tanks to light an arties MM, make Arties blind completely except for light tanks only.

        Havoc, I don’t totally disagree with you, but as a whole, heavies are not that strong in the current meta. It’s the faster ones–with less armor–that are typically the better ones. Reason? Prem shells make armor pointless in many cases. See a Maus? Load Prem. See an IS-7? Load Prem. Etc. Their main saving grace, atm, is that we have corridor maps.

        That said, light tanks DO suffer more than heavy tanks, and this is largely because of those corridor maps.

        The real solution, besides improving the maps, is a global re-balance. While I’m not 100% confident of WG’s ability to re-balance correctly, they have realized the problems and are trying to correct them, unlike the last couple of years.

        Until they actually start implementing the new changes, we may want to reserve our criticism and give them a chance. Instead, we can focus on sharing with them the best way to improve the game, and without the criticism, they’ll have an easier time sifting through minor issues and focus on the biggest ones. If they do finish the re-balance without listening to us and completely ruin the game, then we can rightfully critical.

        No. The faster ones with thinner armour are the better ones because they are Russian. And they have good angles and retarded spaced armour to nullify their ‘thinner armour weakness’. Anyone who argues that a type 5 or a maus has better armour than an is7 is a fucking retard.

        The best option for WG is to leave these spots in the game until they fix the maps so lights can be useful. Once there is enough open/spotting maps then fine. Remove these spots on the other maps. Besides the only tank that can get up to most of these that it will be too powerful for is only the batchat. The rest are lights which are mostly useless in the current meta. For one patch the lights had something to do. And WG wants to shut it down immediately again…because fucking reasons.

        Give them a chance. Hope for the best. Maybe you haven’t been here for very long. But I’m sick of the utter fucking bullshit they feed us in their propoganda. Until I see something actually happening then fuck em.

        Did vas ever tell you the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome.
        That’s what most of the player base does. I ain’t some retarded fucking sheep. And I will shout that out.

    Sadly the fun of finding great new places on hills/mountains are now being taken out of the game. So sad. So let’s change all maps into three way corrdior maps with steep mountain sides. Well done WG. This game is getting more an dmore borring on PC’s. Looks like they are chaniging their focus into conosles.

    They just made the view range counter in garage useless. It will be 445 for 80 % of spotting tanks… they could at least put the cammo piercing value in brackets
