These tanks are going to be the new E-25s xD. Also, now we found the role for the tier 6 premium.

  5. It have to have a tremendous precision of the gun! The whole TD is aiming not just the gun.

The crew setup is weird to say the least and makes the premium even more pointless as a crew trainer. Historically the Strv 103 had a driver/gunner, a commander who also had the same controls as the driver/gunner, and a rear driver/radio operator. It had no loader as the gun was autoloading, although the rear driver had to manually load smoke shells. How does that equate to a commander/gunner, driver/gunner and a radio operator/loader? Why not go for a commander/gunner, gunner/driver and driver/radio operator/loader and make the premium medium slightly more useful for both lines? My guess is that no other tank except the tier 8-10 TDs are going to have a crew member with radio operator as primary skill, which forces you to spend a lot of gold if you want to keep the same crew with trained skills for the whole line.

yea, imagine aiming at any lt. Or don’t imagine it, just go play random with normal tank, get turret ring destoyed and voila.

The crew setup is weird to say the least and makes the premium even more pointless as a crew trainer for both the light/medium/heavy line and especially the TD line. My guess is that no other tank in the initial Swedish tree except the tier 8-10 TDs (and possibly the Lago and Strv m/42, which are tier 4-5 medium tanks) are going to have a crew member with radio operator as primary skill. This forces you not only to use a lot of gold if you want to use the same crew with skills trained for the whole respective lines, not to mention using the premium to train your crews, but even more so considering you have to switch crew roles. Historically the Strv 103 had a driver/gunner, a commander who also had the same controls as the driver/gunner, and a rear driver/radio operator. It had no loader as the gun was autoloading, although the rear driver had to load smoke shells manually if they were to be fired. How does that equate to a commander/gunner, driver/gunner and radio operator/loader? Why not go for a commander/gunner, gunner/driver and driver/radio operator/loader? That would make the progression through the lines easier and more logical, the premium slightly more useful/less useless, and not force you spend gold to keep your crew/crew skills intact.

Radio Operator as the 3rd? Better save up that gold to change the roles I guess.

How is this going to work? Does the tank follow your mouse, or are other buttons involved? Must be terrible difficult to shoot vehicles on the that are on the move! I can’t wait to try them in test server 🙂

Once you get into siege mode the aim will follow your mouse, you can still drive your tank but at 5kph… on mobile mode the aim will depend on the movement of your td

i dont really know what to say about the swedish td-line….but what iv`e seen so far, is that they are going to be “OP” as hell…hydraulic Suspension adjustments with only 1-2 seconds ?!?!?!? are you sure WG ?!?!?..for sure the camo Rating and mobility….next game braking vehicles besides the tvp 50/51…sure WG sure…:(

  14. Can not wait for this. This might be the biggest innovation to the game, since autoloader vehicles…

I wonder if this means the STB and E25 will get hydropneumatic suspension… *Dreams* Not likely cause they’re “Not a Soviet hovertank” 🙁

    • StyleZ says:

      Not E-25, but E-10.
Case with STB is even more complicated – it should have less usual depression and then the ability to lower the suspension. But in that case it will be either automatic or STB will get the same “X” key treatment as Swedes, which would be awkward, but more “realistic”.

Finally a Tier 10 tank I really want. None of the existing ones are interesting to me, they’re just game pieces & statistics. This is a genuinely interesting tank design.

if this is possible for WG to make, than why cant the Flak bus lower the sides down and let the gun traverse at 360 degrees , also why cant the elc amx have a turret that fully traverse when its stationary,it could do that O_o

That reverse speed and reload! 🙂 Those will definitely become handy.

But I see one huuuge problem rising with this new aiming system – no peek’a’boo’s for Swedish TD’s, which will cripple the tank quite a lot in city environments.
At the moment Foch, big Grille or SU-122-54 can easily drive out of corner, point it’s gun in the general direction of enemy, take a qiuck shot and get back out of there in just a couple of seconds. 103 will probably not be able to do it, as either it will have to sit there and deploy it’s Siege system or shoot with auto-aim in 3rd person view, which is not the greatest idea and will probably have aimstats like an arty.

Well on Himmelsdorf you could climb the hill and use siege mode to only show a tiny amount of the upper plate and gun. You could likewise go hull down below on the main heavy street.

The moment you deploy siege mode on that part, well arty will smoke you plain as that… 2.5 to deploy and 2.5 to return to mobile….

I believe the S-tank could move even as it changed its suspension, I hope this is the case in WoT too though at a slow speed.
