As one of the few people to have actually tested this tank on the 9,17 test server, I have to say I like it.

Seems like a pretty Horrendous nerf aswell, especially the aimtime

It is a tier 4 tank, not a tier 5.
The damage per minute, aim time, and rate of fire used to be more than almost every tier 5(!) medium, in a tier 4 tank that was not even supposed to carry a long 75mm gun as far as I know.

Much better now, look at the stats of other tier 4 mediums/lights with 75/76mm guns in turrets (so not the Grant or Lee).

I think this change was made to offer a choice between low pen but high DPS, or low DPS but higher pen gun. There are no stats for 57mm gun (i am too lazy to google for other sources 😀 ) but i think it should have a high RoF and decent aim time much like Commies’ “dyrokol” gun.

Correct on the former, the latter is a bit meh at 2,5 seconds base (better than the 75mm though) but at least workable.

At least it was when I tested it.
