The E5 cupola change would be also great on PC, (Make E5 great again!) but you’ve probably thought to the Ranked Battles.

Suppose we may expect changes like this after 1.0, hopefully~

My thoughts were mainly the E5’s cupola change (PLEASE bring to PC….I’d definitely bring my E5 out of mothballs)…..OR the RNG to Armor Penetration change…..-/+15% now? Interesting….very interesting…

Merica is on the up and up why not E5…

    Or the booster thing

    15% rng……need that

Only +/- 15% RNG for penetration parameters. I would appreciate that on the PC. A lot. Less RNG is always nice.

Besides the removal of the cupola on the E5, I find the reduction of the RNG of penetration also very satisfying.

Still waiting for -30% gold ammo damage nerf on PC…

Armor pen RNG reduction on the PC would be great. Plus the accuracy nerf has to be taken back. WG changed the accuracy handling years ago from a Gauss distribution to a segment model to using circular segments around the aim, where each segment has a certain percentage of being chosen for a shot to go to. This makes it much easier to manipulate tank accuracy: You could e.g. give the center a chance to be used of only 1%, and the surrounding segment 99%. That would make 99% of shots miss the dead center of where you aimed at. I think that is why some tanks miss their shots often (STB-1), while others have insane accuracy. Most shitty accuracy handling change ever in WoT that was.

I like this. WG shoud made it years ago, hope it will come to PC too.

Oh man I hope they fix the T110E5 cupola like that… The current giant weakspot one just ruins the tank…

When the T110E5’s cupola was inpenetrable, it was blatantly OP. I hope this is not considered for PC. If people think the E5’s cupola is a giant weakspot,, then what about the E100’s entire turret front? Or the Maus’ turret front when it’s facing you?

      Gold ammunition???

      • Partybooper says:

Yes? If the cupola of the fast moving T110E5 is as strong as the turret front of a slow moving E 100 (just as an example), you need gold to shoot right through the front.

        Which target is bigger?
The E5’s cupola or the E 100’s entire turret???

It was RIDICULOUS when the E5’s cupola was buffed to the max a few years ago. Random matches were swarming with it. Bad times…

Remember, reducing RNG means less miracle bounces and less miracle pens. This means more situations where you have no hope. Be careful what you wish for, lest you turn WoT into chess.

Well, I don’t rely on miracle pens. That’s why I don’t even bother shooting at a target, hoping “if I get lucky and get at least +20% pen, I might be able to pen him! Let’s do it!”.
On the other hand, shooting flush at a 200mm plate in close range with your 240mm+ penetration gun and not penning it… Yes, awesome…

Obviously, it’s dependent on the tactical situation, but I will take the shot even if I’m guessing I’ve got 1 in 4 of getting damage – because 1 in 4 of getting damage is still better than 0 in 4.

To quote Wayne Gretzky among others, you miss on 100% of the shots you don’t take.

In a universe without RNG, that 1 in 4 doesn’t even exist. It’s either 0 or 100 – which also means, you either know you’re invulnerable, or you’re doomed. That sounds like fun.

That’s exactly what I want. I don’t want the game to betray me of the fruit of my game and weakspot knowledge, while RNG is helping a blatant noob who could never be arsed to learn and understand the game. If you think RNG is what makes WoT worthwhile, you haven’t understood this game either. There are enough tactics and techniques you can employ to avoid being penetrated, and all these fall under “skill”, like wiggling your tank, knowing how long an opponent takes to reload when peek-a-boo-ing, etc. There is enough variance and randomness in a WoT match just by the randomness in player decisions to not ever turn WoT into chess.

You’re right – RNG does help level the playing field, which is why millions play this game as opposed to thousands. That’s why the only people who should want RNG removed are super unicums. The rest of us still rely on miracle bounces and miracle pens, regardless of whether we want to admit it to ourselves or not.

I’m not saying RNG is the only thing that makes the game good – I’m saying that people need to realize that RNG in games is part of the fun, and that removing it is a death knell for 5e popularity of the type of game WoT is. Even if you’re a fan of pure skill, it’s the RNG that adds the spice – it turns a calculation into a game. Simulating war means simulating friction, and that means RNG.

You CAN remove RNG from WoT, but then you would need to rebalance everything – and I would bet that, at the end of the process, you would end up with a game that’s less popular, less healthy, and less fun than the current incarnation. My guess is that it would play like slow motion DoTA, where you have hard counters for everything based on the matchup, armour is king, and everybody fires gold or GTFO. There are some people who would enjoy that. I just go ugh.
