Supertest:- Panhard EBR 105

14

The Supertest of the entire French wheeled line is stating with the tier X Panhard EBR 105 after the concept was trialed earlier with the Tier VIII armored car.

The official spiel.

What kind of vehicle is that?

Eight wheels, two driving modes, ‘magnet’ lock-on, the charge mechanic, and other distinct features are in place (and enhanced). The vehicle is extremely vulnerable for enemy fire, with a small HP pool and almost non-existent armor, so rely on its mobility and small size to survive. It counts as a light tank but the spotting distance is much shorter than those of tracked ones. The firepower is enough to finish off a damaged enemy at the end of a battle but not for an even-sided one-on-one engagement. The Panhard’s ace in the sleeve is its mobility. A 105-mm cannon has outstanding stabilization allowing to fire on the move but its reloading speed is to underline that damage dealing isn’t armored cars’ main specialty.

So, the Panhard EBR 105 has all the strong and weak sides of wheeled vehicles pronounced and gathered together. We only have to fine-tune.

How will it play?

At the start of a battle, as an extremely active spotter. At the middle, as a very agile reconnaissance vehicle with limited firepower. At a battle’s end, as a rapid and dangerous predator. ‘Speed and aggression’ is a wheeled vehicle’s creed. The Panhard will be relatively tough to handle and will suit experienced and confident tankers.

Depending on test results, we may change the stats for the Panhard EBR 105. Please follow the news and all the luck in every battle!

Yes thats why its called an active spotter. It needs to move towards not sit far away… as in passive spotter.

That said it still has almost no place in this game as it currently stands….active spotting on almost all maps is completly and utterly pointless…hey look I am spotting up a bunch of heavy tanks for my team who are positioned <100m from the enemy and can be see them fine anyway.

I can see this type of vehicle being usefull in frontlines (if it ever comes back un-trashed) or grand battles but for randoms..A waste of time and a tank slot.

Perhaps both active and passive spotters are underpowered in the current meta and both could stand to have more view range.

the pen is horrible for Tier 10, will definitely need to give that a boost.

I don’t agree, stop giving enought penetration to all tier 10 to be able to pen HT frontaly, has WG already said on this branch, you have to flank ennemies, that’s why you have low penetration, he definitely don’t need a boost otherwise it gonna be played like a medium sniping while it’s not his role

It has tier 7 gun penatration at tier 10 and 350m view range this tank will be very useless until late game, its view range is on par with tier 8 “blind ” heavies like the is3

I don’t agree, it don’t need a boost, WG already said that the role of this branch is to flank ennemies with your high mobility so you don’t need big penetration when you are shooting side of tanks. Stop giving penetration to all tier 10 just to pen frontaly all tanks, this tank will be in the true gameplay of world of tank without penetrating frontaly a lot of tanks

for a vehicle that can drive circles around even some medium tanks that more than enough penetration… I have to agree to Julien: Armor is getting more and more useless with all those super high pen-guns nowaydays.

WG can’t just throw in tanks to beef up a line.
They need to get permission from Japan.
If they don’t play ball, WG can’t add anything.

    Oh look, another keep-calm-and-dab-dat-2-key tank

I would literally get this tank for the sole reason of playing it in Training rooms. This thing looks like it is gonna be useless trash with that V/R, bad gun and current game dynamics (Why play an LT when a med can do the same thing better?). Seriously though late game if this thing is fighting mediums it will stand no chance because it cannot outspot them…
