All these features have led to this tank beating its peers in terms of performance. It was therefore decided to review the performance characteristics of this vehicle and to render its battle characteristics at a level comparable to researchable Tier X medium tanks. That said, the T-22 med will keep its excellent armour and players who earned it will still remain owners of a powerful and unique combat vehicle.”

Japan

“In the Japanese tech tree there is an evident bias regarding vehicle popularity. The vast majority of players focus on the medium Tiers, from V to VI. Also, these tanks are significantly distinguished by their combat effectiveness against their peers from other branches. To resolve this situation, it was decided to make changes to their technical characteristics, in order to balance the combat capabilities of heavy tanks at Tier VI. At the same time, the Tier III and IV tanks cede a bit in terms of their statistics, so changes to their technical characteristics were made to improve their firing power.”

  1. SlayerBR says:

well, time to trash the japanese heavy line since WG just killed it because of noobs complaining it was too OP, really, i killed OIs and OIexp’s fucking easy with my su85B (and it is a fucking tier 4) if you say, yeah but su85b have a great gun and DPM, and what? i did it too with my matilda, and could do it with any tank with more than 75mm pen, that OIs are paper thin in the sides, and since they are the size of a tower, with a shit gun elevation, you could easy stike to their side and kill they like they were not even there, and now, with that new stats, they made a heavy tank that could be pen by everyone a TD, that simply cant even turn to protect their paper thin sides, soo yeah, noobs killed a balanced line, cause they don’t know flanking tatics or how to play without auto aim, btw, finnaly a buff to the cz and german lower tier cannons, they really needed that alot of time ago, and the challanger line is much better now, well WG trash some lines and make others OK it happens, time to desmount modules and sell my tanks to inverst in a line without complaining noobs, until they make another line be nerfed to nothing cause they cant really use their brains……

    1. Alex says:

Really? OI nerf was a must, that tank is completely broken (although I think that nerf is not really significant…). It is completely OP. Period.
The only way to pen it in most cases is to switch to gold ammo, which makes it effectively OP as many players, especially in lower tier games, do not want to waste their credits. I remember SirFoch complaining about that in one of his videos, where he had to load heat because his tier 8 MT only had 175mm pen. Flanking? Yup ok the sides are very weak, but good luck shooting them on certain corridor maps. Disable auto-aim? Why the hell would that help if the front has no damn weak spot at all?
This would be fine to me if it had a somewhat shitty gun. But well no, let’s give it a KV-2 derp. Just remember that a well played KV-2 is powerful enough if well played, so don’t tell me that a KV-2 AND impenetrable frontal armor is balanced.
As for OI exp, it was not as retarded as the OI. But again, the nerf is not that large so I’m sure it will still be a very enjoyable tank to play.

      1. SlayerBR says:

the fact of OI having great firepower was to compensate the 150mm flat armor in the front, yeah in corridor maps, it can tank alot, but remember OI is not tier 6 exclusive, any tier above it can easy pen its frontal armor, and tiers 6 can do is easy too, while a t150 for example, can easy sidescrap and pen the OI frontal armor, the OI cant do the same unless he is using the DERP, but if you want to start a peek a boo fight with a tank with a DERP, then you playing the game wrong, it would be the same to do it against a KV2, and of course you forgeting that the OI have zero camo, and was already slow, what means, in the open, it is a sitting duck waiting to its death, soo why would you play giving it advantages, instead of flanking?, ik i used tier 4 with high pen examples but really, if these 2 tiers 4 can kill it easy, why would you not do it with higher tiers? i already played in tier 6 matchs with platoons of OI players on the other team with us on ours don’t even having heavys, in city maps, and we won and killed they? how? we simple don’t played useless in the part where they get the advantage, flanked they, and destroyed they, remember the OI already haved slow mobility, and reload speed with the derp, soo, 2 or 3 tanks can easy kill one, and team working is what the game is supposed to be played like, ik some pubs don’t have brains, but that don’t makes the tank OP, just the players don’t know how to deal with it, the nerf on the OI just make it look like a JagT, that cant even turn right, with thin armor to anything up its tier, it was a balanced tank as the t150 is, as the kv2 is, as any tier 6 heavy is… and btw, i never needed apcr or prem ammo to pen one, since its pretty easy to exploit these box tanks weakeness lol i am not defending the tank soo i can be OP playing in it, a am defending it soo it don’t becomes a free kill to play against it, since it was already easy to kill it, and now its just a free kill

      2. Anonymous says:

Looks like it is time to tell Wargaming enough and tart taking money else where. They just need to play it in regular pub matches to see how weak it really is. I quit playing mine jut before the last patch. It was seeing way too many tier 8 battles to be even worth running. There are other things they need to rework and balance other then some of the slowest tanks out there. Maybe look at fixing the broken models of heavy and medium auto loading tanks before nerfing some of the least played tanks.

    2. suprememadninja says:

You picked out the 2 highest pen tanks In tier 4 and yet you would still need APCR for the OI’s front Most people that play tier 4 are noobs that don’t understand ammunition you are just a seal clubber

      1. SlayerBR says:

as i said above, ik they are noobs, but i never needed prem ammo to deal with the OIs, as they where on stats, and as i said above, if a tier 4 can do it, why would you not do it with tier 5-8 since the OIs don’t get exclusive tier 6 mm

    3. I totally agree with you, while I do realize a SLIGHT nerf was in order, this is stupid harsh. I already have a hard time fighting tier 8s and keeping extremely mobile tanks off my sides, but now if I don’t have a corridor map, I’m basically 100% screwed.

  2. S842 says:

Heavy Tank No. VI (the Japanese Tiger) has had its L56 88 mm gun penetration buffed from 132 to 145. I agree with this change, but the VK36.01 uses the SAME EXACT GUN, so this change should apply to the VK as well.

    1. wheeledtank says:

“Heavy Tank No. VI, Škoda T 40, and other vehicles that have the 88 mm L/56 guns.”
This is yanked straight from the article. This means that the 88mm on the VK30.01(P), 36.01(P), Tiger (P) (L/56), Tiger (L/56), JagdPz IV, VK45.02(P) Ausf A (Stock), JagdPanther (L/56) and a few others I might have left out have all gained a penetration buff

    1. wheeledtank says:

The JagdTiger 8.8 has an 8.8cm L/71 (or L/72?). The penetration puff concerns only the 8.8cm L/56 gun and its Czechoslovakian variants

      1. SlayerBR says:

yup the JagdTiger 8.8 actually have the same top gun as the tiger 1, soo its 203 pen, with insane accuracy to hit weakspots, and a armor that covering the lower plates bounces alot, buffing the JagdTiger 8.8, would made it a god tank better than the russian bias haha

  3. Anonymous says:

The buff to premium tanks makes me laugh as You knew what you where buying when you bought it and then complain that its crap,
WG are not responsible for you buying a crap tank , no one forced you to buy it,
and if you bought it blind , well that will teach you to buy without trying.

KR needs a pen buff now as every one else id getting one

  4. 427Arbok says:

No buffs to the Jagdtiger 88 or the SuperPershing. Great idea, Wargaming. Not only that, but they’re buffing the Achilles without giving it its historical 10 degrees of gun depression? What? Really? And it’s not like you can argue about this one, I’ve seen pictures, and the visual model shows nothing in the way of the breach at all. The KJP seems to be getting everything but the dpm it needs, too. I guess pen is good compensation, though. But, seriously, the Jagdtiger 88 is useless in the current meta, and the Super still needs its gun buffed. 170mm penetration is an absolute mockery of what that gun could do in real-life.

    1. SlayerBR says:

sure the super P gun is weaker than it should be, but the hull is stronger than it was too, and can give you pretty insane auto bounces from ppl that don’t know how to aim at weak spots, and the Jagdtiger 88 is pretty awesome how it is now, sure it don’t have alot of pen for a tier 8, but it does receive preferential MM and enought precision to hit weak spots, and a insane hull armor when you hide weakspots, putting a buff at pen would make it a tier 9 jagdtiger really at tier 8 =P

    2. Anonymous says:

Achilles never had 10 degrees gun depression in service as they put a stop block to limit the depression. the recoil of the gun was so harsh that if pointed too low it could bounce the turret off it’s ring

  5. Lukas Bronk says:

Can we just take a moment to talk about the T54 light nerf? A light tank with a reload of over 8 seconds? Come on man, and just before I got it too :/

  6. Tobiaz says:

No panther/M10 buff? Although granted that tank probably isn’t played much, and will not be played much even if it becomes good unless it becomes E25 levels off stupidly good

  7. Stealth_71 says:

Why does the Kanonenjagdtpanzer get a DEBUFF?? Is it so strong by firing on the move?
Should we lay in a bush and camp, with paper thin Armor?
    Is that really the way?

On the premiums being buffed…where is the pen buff for the Super Pershing? All the 90mm guns and 100mm guns were buffed by around 10mm of penetration. It seems wrong to leave the SP at 170 when other (exact same) guns get 190.
