The view range of the vehicle has been increased, which will not only improve the efficiency of spotting an enemy, but will also positively affect the tank’s survival rate. Rearward speed has also been increased. This will further improve the tanks’ survival rate, by decreasing the time needed to get behind cover.

“A multipurpose vehicle that has all the striking features of Soviet medium tanks, and, due to its special hull design, outstanding armour. All these features have led to this tank beating its peers in terms of performance. It was therefore decided to review the performance characteristics of this vehicle and to render its battle characteristics at a level comparable to researchable Tier X medium tanks. That said, the T-22 med will keep its excellent armour and players who earned it will still remain owners of a powerful and unique combat vehicle.”

View range is also improved to 400 m. Now the range is the top of its Tier – you can spot for yourself and try to hit from afar.”

Japan

“In the Japanese tech tree there is an evident bias regarding vehicle popularity. The vast majority of players focus on the medium Tiers, from V to VI. Also, these tanks are significantly distinguished by their combat effectiveness against their peers from other branches. To resolve this situation, it was decided to make changes to their technical characteristics, in order to balance the combat capabilities of heavy tanks at Tier VI. At the same time, the Tier III and IV tanks cede a bit in terms of their statistics, so changes to their technical characteristics were made to improve their firing power.”

  • Traverse speed of the O-I turret changed from 20 deg/s to 18 deg/s.
  • Durability decreased from 970 HP to 950 HP.

    1. Carl says:

They buffed the 88 to 145 base pen. Wow about dammed time that happened :). Now if only they could be bothered to fix the sucktastic Pz IV :(.

  1. cyber_pagan says:

well there goes everything I invested in my O-I equipment and crew. No point in using it for skirmishes anymore.

    1. What a shame it is no longer totally OP and able to seal club at will. It is still vastly better than the real O-I tank would have turned out, but at least it is closer to balanced now.

      1. Ares says:

T67 pedobear td is still there. How this tank can have his DPM, with turret, its just joke. U can see many pedobear out there, farming wn8 on bad player, cuz they can

    2. taief98 says:

So you were those asshats who sat in based all game with binos on the OI essentially camping and turning a fun fast game mode to a boring campfest

  2. ryanlj says:

Nothing on the object 430 as of now? And those 54 lightweight changes are going to be interesting, will certainly impact league choices.

      1. But 132 ammo durability is suck. that’s why it;s very rare tank to meet with. Because what’s the point using a tank that get ammo rack damage for taking hit.

  3. Sturmtiger_304 says:

It’s funny how all of the changes to the Pz.Kpfw. V/IV are actually buffs from tier 6 to tier 5. Holy shit, this tanked sucked so hard.

  4. Anonymous says:

    Oh dear,

So if i am correct the waffentrager auf e100 will be gone in 9.15?

Atleast the pz5/4 became a bit better not as OP as it is on console but still better than how used to be. Not being able to do almost any damage against tier 7 with your 110 pen.

  5. shiramakun says:

Its been a while since i last played the STA-2, but last time i played it, it was very underwhelming. Not really bad but definitely not good either. A typical “meh” tank as are most of the japanese mid tier mediums. Why would they nerf it now?

      1. Anonymous says:

Slight buff? the increased penetration is HUGE,it made this tank a whole lot better. If they increase the shell velocity to 1000(like any 212 pen guns) it will be even better! ( maybe even the 255 credits/shell )

      2. shiramakun says:

Slight buff? Its nerfed all over, only the penetration has been buffed. However penetration was never a big issue with this tank, at least not for me. Its a tier 8 medium tank with 180+ average penetration. There are heavy tanks on that tier with less penetration. Either way the mobility and armor are pretty much non existent on this tank so all it has to give is great gun depression and accuracy on the move. With a very large commanders cupola that depression is sort of nullified and since the accuracy isn’t all that great in the first place the accuracy on the move isn’t spectacular either. So all that is left is DPM which is now nerfed.. yes this is definitely a nerf

      3. ImogenB says:

I think it’s quite a significant buff as such i’m gona be buying mine back. Loose a little bit of dpm but then give it almost 30mm more pen, Very nice. It now has enough pen to go through the front of an is-3 reliably and i never use gold so this is great for me. 😀

  6. DoctorBest says:

Short 88 Buff ? FINALLY ! The Challenger Buff is great, maybe I’ll now continue playing that line.
Also, the most important change: “Dispersion of the 76 mm L-10U gun changed from 0.525714285714286 m to 0.44 m” – I’ve been waiting for this moment, all my life.

    1. I’m glad I didn’t sell my Challenger when I upgraded to the Charioteer, I quite liked it as kit was, should be even better now! And the Achilles will be even more wonderful…

Maybe WG have finished nerfing all the British tanks. We’ll see when we see the effects of the Centurion I HD model…

      1. GPC_4 SAYS: Why would anyone keep the Challenger?

Because we collect tanks…I have all the US turreted TD’s and the Brits up to T8 (as well as the Death Star). But then, compared to some, I’m a rank amatuer and only have 141 in garage and 27 empty slots…

        redwing6
RACE, Evil Gaming Alliance , NA Server

    2. The Avenger should actually be better than the Challenger, though that seems to be a bit underwhelming with such a lousy aim time for the 17pdr in a purpose designed turret!

  7. sgtyester says:

Rita, why no love for the T14??

it is one heck off an up prem tank. 92 pen at Tier 5 is almost useless in tier 5, let alone in tier 6/7

  8. Anonymous says:

Great buffs here but the T92E2 needs penetration buff more than anything. Poor thing only have 181 pen and have to use gold way too often. Expensive machine to drive since it does not earn any extra credits. Sta2 increased it’s 185 penetration to 212 and earn credits.

      1. Hùng Counter – SP does not see Tier10’s so it doesn’t need to pen so much armor, it has waaaay better gold rounds if it needs to pen something and it earns shitloads of credits to be able to spam those gold rounds.

  9. Now O-Is are just fat shits. All that because of whiny idiots who cant aim nor flank a tank as huge as a twin tower.

O-I exp was OP when toptier. Good luck being useful when not.
O-I is underpowered. It’s gun is strong but worse than KV-2’s. Its armor sounds huge but 70mm side armor, and 150mm front is flat, and penetrable by tier 5 gold, tier 6 gold and TD AP, and tier 7+ AP. And the tank is slow as hell, and flat everywhere so it cannot angle because one of the ”mini” turrets will always have a flat side in any direction.

And they just killed the WT line by putting a tier X worse than both tier 9 and 8 before it, so not worth all the xp and credits. Let alone the bad dpm and pen if AT LEAST it had a turret. Now go have fun at tier X with your unexisting armor when you have to move to follow targets thus losing camo bonus.

The patch is awesome but when it comes to rebalances it looks like WG just HAS to fuckup somewhere.

    1. Anonymous says:

“The OI is underpowered” … just… no, no it aint… in any shape, way, nor form, is that thing underpowered…

    2. 1n_Soviet_Russia says:

You are an insufferable pillock who knows nothing of this game. Why WG would ever listen to you is beyond me.

    3. gpc_4 says:

LOL at anyone defending the current state of the tier V and VI Japanese heavies; they have ruined the mid-tiers and tier VI CW/skirmishes.

      1. yeah and they should nerf cromwell and nerf that T37 also to the ground. And remove that T25 Skoda shitty auto loader as well you dumb fuck. OI-EXP nerf is well deserved but OI ……? I don’t think so.

    4. Teobold Tor says:

Am I totally sleep deprived, or did this guy say the OI is underpowered?
Whatever he’s smoking can I have some please

    5. Der_Typ says:

“O-I is underpowered” Ahaha wow that was by far the best WOT related Joke ive heared in a very long time holy moly it was even more funny than the Joke that russian guns are inaccurate 😀
But seriously are you just trolling or that stupid?

  10. Patata Caliente says:

So they finally worked out that those premium tanks were inadequate, did they? Wow. And so fast as well … Guess they made not as much cash as they expected.

  11. Anonymous says:

T92E2 needs penetration buff more than anything. Poor thing only have 181 pen and have to use gold way too often. Expensive machine to drive since it does not earn extra credits. 185 to 212 on Sta2. So clearly 181 is not good enough.

  12. ステトガイ says:

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!! Hvy. Tnk. No. VI buff!!! wooohoo that thing was so bad, maybe it will be at least playable now.

  13. Grabarz says:

finally Nerf Japanese heavy tanks – who ever tried to play chi nu kai VS O-1 /O-I knows that even gold cant penetrate his frontal armor so easy – it dings even dicker max gold shells so … not to mention that with 169 penetration is useless against fronatal armor of O-I

t54 light nerf – yes nerf it even more – every one t54 light is spamming gold all the time, running like gepard and dinging shells that could devastate buildings …
t22 nerf – well they should just remove this tank from every owner garage and make missions for new one nerfed ( only randoms, no platoons battles) – with hardness like it was before (10k dmg right ?)

  14. Tyrud says:

The new Kanonen buffs are exactly what it needed. Weird that they increased dispersion, but the new buffs will really make it feel like you are playing the StuG III G’s evolution.

  15. Ares says:

I was hoping for Lowe, so much, this tank is relic. This tank need reballance, is way to slow for new, dynamic, fast Wot. But this will never gonna happen.

Well, Victor lied, or it will be in 9.16, or Lowe is not old tank..eh..

Good to see, 112 tho, that tank needed buff very much. And short 88, 145 is still low, but its better then 132.

    1. lemmysir says:

I’m sorry but I disagree. The Lowe is a great tank as it is, I love mine. I just don’t want them nerfing other stats just to improve it’s mobility a bit. I mean I doubt that they would just buff it. They’d probably go for the nerf on accuracy and aim time since the dpm is already not very good. And that would be bad, I love my Lowe as it is now, a super accurate sniper that has the armor to brawl when it actualy gets to the frontline.

  16. ARL 44 – Short 90, 170 pen, Long 90, 212 Pen
    O-I – 10cm, 175 pen
    M6 – 170 Pen
    T-150 – 167 Pen
    Churchill 6 – 148 pen (And it’s the shitiest t6 HT imo)
VK36.01H and HT6 with German 88 L/56? 132, now buffed to 145. Because giving it more is way too much for WG. Even though historical 162mm pen isn’t even that high compared to the other heavies.
Sure VK30.01P uses it as well, but the other stats can be rebalanced around it. With 162 pen the Jagdpanzer IV would actually be useful, and the Tier 7 VK30.02D would actually have a decent gun selection. But nope.

    1. Ares says:

True, very much. For 90 degree, 75 L\48 135, and Stug IV could be usefull, but well only Sherman, and t34 can have 90 degree angle pen on 76 and 57.

Tiger 2 and Ferdi could use historical guns, if pen for long 88 was from 90 degree, 234, and APCR around 295, but nope. Panther 2 with 235 apcr is useless on tier 10, cant pen HT on front if must, Pershing can, cuz have 265 APCR….

      1. atomicemu says:

Many Soviet guns achieved much higher penetration in American tests than they have in WoT. Would you like them buffed too?

      2. Sure, buff them if they’re NEEDED the Soviet D-10 gun have 208 pen at 100m. That would actually help tanks like the T-44. The 25T firing APBC actually have 175mm penetration at 100m. While AP has 196. But for balance reasons 175 is given. And because the damage is 390, it’s balanced. The german 88 NEEDS a buff. It has 220 alpha, while others have 300 and 240 except for the Churchill 7 (which is crap). While 145 is decent, it wouldn’t hurt to at least give it 150.

  17. Xavier says:

Well…. Only 2 changes that affect me. Great to see the Challenger getting a big buff. It’s already great at sniping but now it’s even better.

Also good to see the O-P getting well deserved nerfs. Whenever i have a good game in it (which trust me, isnt hard) i say “WG, plz nerf” in chat

  18. Anonymous says:

Good job to the kind of player that is pushing them (WG) to ruin every single unique tank ingame. Good job to all the envious baddies that cried enough… Complain about any tank that requires skill to perform but are against artillery removal/nerf because “they balance the game”.

And now…. T22 to the grinder, OI/OI Exp, etc…. Previously was Foch 155 (burnt to ashes), T57, etc… Thank god you didn’t accomplish yet, E25’s nerf…

Maybe it’s time for all of you, to learn how to play or look for some other game, that requires little motor skills and specially thinking skills. Wii and some other consoles may help on your quest.

    1. Tbh the O-I Exp. is damn OP. 300 Alpha,120 pen, 8.2s reload (2.2k DPM, same as a tier 8 heavy). It can 2-shot almost every tier 5. It can go 40 down hill while weighing 100 tons. It feels more like a tier 6. The nerf is justified. The O-I however, is only OP as top tier, still pretty against higher tiers if there’s no arty. But I don’t like it. Slow, big, gold and arty magnet. I don’t know if the nerf for it is justified. But there’s enough people complaining about it.

  19. Thub42 says:

To me, it’s pointless ‘rebalancing’ any of the tanks when the basics are screwed up. Why can’t they sort the things that matter first? such as RNG & MM instead of ‘dangling shineys’ in front of everyone to cause a big distraction. They are as bad as Politicians in that regard 🙁

    1. Reworking MM from the ground is as easy as changing vehicle value here and there? Are they done by the same person?

It’s like you were complaining “Why make public facilities better when they still haven’t removed corruption yet?”

  20. Sensible changes. One of the best buff/nerf list I saw from WG so far.

Anyone who didn’t get that O-I exp is simply broken need to play back from tier 1 again. Relatively fast, a monster in ramming, good DPM/alpha, reasonably accurate. Yes it’s not really well armored, but by the point when it’s dead you have to already demolished an entire flank. When it’s on bottom tier it just need to be played as support HT just like any other HT, what do you expect?

As comparasion, O-I is not that good as it lacked the flexibility of gun and speed to actually carry. But I understand that it need to be nerfed since it’s simply idiot proof.

P.S owned both of them once.

    1. OI exp OP because stupid gun, DPM and alpha damg at tier 5, which better than some tier 8 HT.

But i think OI nerf not clear the fcking stupid factor make it OP : the frontal armor . Almost all tier 5 premium CANT pen it even with gold ammo (Kv220, T14, A33, M4A2E4,…). Even some normal tier 5 struggling to pen it with gold (T1, M4, Pz4…). Why not just slighly decrease armor thickness down to ~120mm OR make that R2D2 turrets penable line KV5 and keep soft stat like before? It will get hit by gold ammo and high tier gun anyway so 30mm less dont make different.

      1. Nah, it’s slow and has long reload. There’s enough time for you to flank it’s paper sides, or simply get away from there.

Competent O-I exp, however, will win against anyone on its tier if its’s 1vs1. You can’t really run either unless you’re a fast MT/LT.

      2. how can I get away or flank it with slow HT like Kv220 or Kv1 ? Long reload but if that shit finish his reload, it can wreck every same tier or low tier even with just 1 shot

I just let my Kv220 rusty in garage after JPese HT appear in wot *sight*

    2. OI nerf is just over acting. That thing is already out gunned by Meds and Lights on it’s tier. especially the fucking dispersion. Damn it. Now OI will become another relic just like what was happen with Hellcat and KV-1S (the old one)

  21. neregekaj says:

    Hey Rita!

I won a Type 59 on your stream the other day! How long do you think it’ll take WG to put it in my garage?

If you don’t know that’s alright!

Keep up the good work on the blog and stream!

  22. salty_mike says:

Nobody cares about the scorpion, lol, but that buffing is fantastic to me and will feel kinda bad now when killing….

  23. @Rita: About 112 and T95E6: WG asia accident post 9.15 super test update (but now they removed it)
It said 112 fuel tank will be moved to other position to prevent frequent fire and buff T95E6 terain resistance (-20%), aim time (2s3 -> 2s) and accr. (4.0 -> 3.8)

    1. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache%3A4CTLmP2kEcQJ%3Aworldoftanks.asia%2Fen%2Fnews%2Fpc-browser%2F23%2Fsupertest-9-15%2F%20&cd=1&hl=vi&ct=clnk

112: The main difference between this tank and the WZ-111 is the frequent occurrence of fires due to the internal arrangement of the tank’s modules. The 112’s fuel tank will now be moved away from the frontal armour, where it was previously easily penetrated and set ablaze. This can potentially reduce the occurrence of fires in this tank.

T95E6: Improved terrain crossing capacity; reduced aim time; improved gun accuracy

  24. All good changes. Although i would have liked to seen more of a buff to the 88. Not much more but maybe 155. It still wouldnt be best in class by any means.
I guess i should take what i can get. Although i dont have any 88 guns theres no reason for it to be bad on every tank in the game.

  25. Ruraraid says:

Really can’t wait for 9.15 test server to see if it would be worth buying the Grille 15 and as I said before I want to play my T22 on there just to see how salty people would be xD.

  26. T95E6

Crossing capacity on solid terrain for the T95E6 suspension increased by 22%.
Crossing capacity on medium terrain for the T95E6 suspension increased by 20%.
Crossing capacity on soft terrain for the T95E6 suspension increased by 10%.
Aiming time of the 120 mm Gun T123E6 for the T95E6 turret changed from 2.3 s to 2 s.
    Dispersion of the 120 mm Gun T123E6 changed from 0.4 m to 0.38 m.

  27. Gkirmathal says:

Oke, so WG is partially buffing premium tanks witch use the L56 88, to 145 mm pen.
What about the regular vehicles using the same gun: (6) VK30.01P, (7) VK30.02D, (7) Tiger 1. Are they going to be addressed, also by their nerfing dpm in some cases, in 9.16?

      1. Gkirmathal says:

Those are, like I said, premium tanks. It says nothing about the regular tanks getting the same treatment, thus the question 😉

  28. ErrorCreator says:

I don’t think 59 Patton is bad in 9.14, i actually enjoy playing that tank, very versatile with having decent armor, good speed, and a decent gun, not superior at anything just an overall good tank of you ask me, and yes it has a apartment for the commander I top of the turret but I don’t actually find that a massive issue, I still bounce quite a lot of shots in 59 Patton.

    1. While I agree with you in theory, in practice I’ve been getting very good results with it. The only issue is not enough damage dealt, and so not enough XP earned. Pen has not been an issue even with standard AP. Speed is OK, it’s acceleration it lacks, so don’t do hills! Armour is decent, it’s a Cruiser, by design, so it’s better than the other British Cruisers! I’ve bounced a couple of shots.

It would be nice to get a bit more damage per shot, but the HP/ton seems to be accurate…
