There was a Micro Patch overnight on the Test Server. From EU portal. [edit]
Based on your feedback and data collected during the 9.18 Common Test, we landed on a set of changes that rolled out in a micro patch earlier today:
- No artillery in Platoons. You were vocal about mismatched scenarios, when a Platoon of three SPGs was placed at the top of the list and the team ended up with three long-range support fire vehicles as their main strength. The other frustrating issue was frequent cases of arty giving its all to support fellow Platoon-members and totally neglecting the rest of the team. To eliminate both problems, we decided to stop SPGs from forming and joining Dynamic and regular Platoons. Removing the option to play in Platoons should facilitate team cooperation and aid the matchmaker in creating balanced teams. Individual Battle Missions were updated accordingly. We removed Platoons from their conditions.
- Balance tweaks to light tanks. The initial balance settings improved their view range too much, blurring the line between light and medium vehicles. They had a large enough view range to scout efficiently by default. So, you could install additional equipment, train skills and perks to increase their firepower to the point where they could compete with medium vehicles. Along with being great scouts, they would deal almost as much damage as some medium tanks. We averaged out their firepower to draw a thicker line between these two classes in terms of their combat roles. Light tanks keep their trademark mobility, high camo values, and lower durability, just as they still outperform medium vehicles at scouting. At the same time, their firepower was reduced and is lower than that of medium tanks. It’s enough to retaliate yet isn’t enough to make dealing damage their first priority in combat. Their view range also decreased, too. Now, you have to mount Coated Optics/Binocular Telescope and train Crew perks to improve it from the default.

Anything worth nerfing is worth over doing.
Wow RIP Bulldog. Its not Russain so it goes and loses 40%!!! shell capacity in its clip and gets a 2 second nerf to reloading as well…LOLOLOL
With a 40% clip reduction they should have brought the reload from 38 secs to 30 flat not nerf it more. OMG WG is so stupid.
the bulldog is op as shit with that autoloader compared to all other tier 8 light tanks, the batchat 12t can’t even compare to it. With one clip it can kill almost any tank it sees with its new matchmaker
You know that the bulldog (tier 8) have 34s of reload time having just 6 shells and each with 150 dmg only? The T71 (tier 7) has the same clip size and damage but it reloads in 19s.
Are they smoking crack?
Did you notice they implemented all the changes that idiot quickymoron suggested.
these fucking idiots are so bad at balancing their game.
And of course, they fucked it all up.
So you can’t play artillery in platoon at all? Or just artillery platoons are prohibited? It would suck if you can’t have atleast one artillery in a platoon
Yea i play with my friends so not arty in platoons would really suck, no all arty platoons fine, max one arty per platoon, we can work with that. (And for all the arty haters we mostly play regular tanks, but if someone wants to bring out an arty we can’t play together? that would really suck!
These nerfs are insane! Now light tanks are useless. Mediums have better view range, and the damage and accuracy nerfs made the guns useless. So now the new light tanks only have slightly better speed, that’s it. You lose everything, but get a bit more speed. Not worth it, need to sell my lights 🙁
wargaming always screwing up shit yet the nerf on russian tank meh just a little bit and the rest take a big dump lol no wonder i dont play wot that much.
Thank god they ended the bulldog. Overpowered shit.
This is more balanced now, Light tanks where just ridiculous on the test server
This is stuiped nerf Med tanks ffs batxhat t62a etc… They take over scout roles…
Im not going to grind to the new lights… Fuck you WG… Fuck you…no more money for you..
they way things are now, it depends so much on the correct tank for the correct map, only some meds and heavies are ”universal” for all maps. rest are dependant on the correct maps for them.
look at the new sweed TD line: hard to play optimal in city maps, gonna be the same is gonna be with the new lights.
lights get the short end of the stick for mostly everything:
-low dpm
-low pen
-mixed gun stats
-low armour
-low hitpoints
but have:
-high speed
-high camo
i feel they just dont fit into the meta, WOT needs more game mechanics, or an overhaul of maps or tanks/classes before lights can ”properly” fit in.
but better to release them UP than OP. and figure out something later
LT is already dead in this current meta. to much corridor map. now they are nerfing it. well done wg well done
Funny thing is that Tier 7 LTs now have MM as if they were T8 normal tank.
So if you remove the scout MM and move T7 to T8 guess what? Yes, they will still have MM as a normal T8 tank.
They are playing against the same tanks so why nerf them?
EXACTLY!
WC going full moronic for very last time (for me). I really had enough of imbeciles screwing the best tank game so far…
lol. you cant platoon with your friends anymore when you wanna play arty.
I stopped playing this game since there is no general chat in game anymore, and now im sure im not coming back playing this game.
Oh that’s awesome, they heard me, i was making a loud noise about the other german lights having 100mm pen with He and not the tier 10
glad they gave the Rheinmetall Panzerwagen 120mm he pen.

Consistency has been achieved.
Hey, I am looking on the bright side of this. I am in the game from 2011 (and in the closed beta before). I wasted years from my life, and 2 girlffriends because of the game. But hell, If I quit finally, I will have plenty of time. (well not really, the current GF, and my son needs more attention)
So come on WG, ruin this game! 🙂
So now what is the point in playing tier 10 light tanks? Same mm of tier 10 mediums but worse armor, less hit points, less firepower, in some cases less view range and only slightly better camo…the bat chat 25t is just better in every single way
With this announcement, I’m seriously confused as to what they want LTs to do in WoT.
So there are now tier X light tanks with less view range than some tier 8 heavies… If they’re nerfing the LT guns this hard they should not touch the view range since that’s the main selling point of an LT aside from their camo on the move.
They were awesome when i tried them last on the test server and I agree that they were perhaps a little too good at the fire support side of things. But it’s also worth noting that it’s the test server and the tank line-ups are majorly skewed towards new/recently buffed vehicles. Whether they’d do as well against a higher quantity of heavily armoured targets is yet to be seen.
