Hmmm……….very interesting. I thought the M-51 was a 152mm gun. But so it’s kinda just an IS-7, with its turret pushed to the back, the pike nose eliminated, and a bigger gun. I could definitely get into that. Any news on the tier IX? I haven’t seen an article on that one yet.

Ah yes! That’s the article I saw once before….knew I wasn’t crazy haha. But, if its caliber IS a type (perhaps), wouldn’t the damage values reflect it being a 152mm gun? (aka 750 alpha damage). Or perhaps WG is just gonna give it a made-up gun?

      2. Mikosah says:

The 650 alpha just seems to be a token gesture so that this thing doesn’t get mistaken for a TD. The E100 avoids the same issue via low penetration (or at least it used to before its AP was buffed), though the difference between 246 and 256 is not going to be significant in practice. And of course, code 22.

Do we know where this new line is going to break off and start in the TT? I’d like to make sure I own and grind out enough XP on the original tank so I can get a headstart on this line.

    1. Shishkin says:

The first rear turreted heavy tank in the line will be the tier 8 IS-M (also known as IS-2Sh), so i think the line will branch off from the tier 7 IS most probably

  3. Nameless says:

… So, after they add this to the game, WG’s total number of (working) neurons is gonna be a grand, grand total of 2. We expect this number to increase to 0 in the near future.

  4. Melebo says:

Looks funky, one thing I really don’t like: the sort off half assed pike nose is going to be a real pain when trying to sidescrape. No auto richochet so prem round magnet.

    1. Maybe that’s because the kv2s gun is an howitzer mounted in a turret that lobs great big HE rounds, the kv2 was design to blow up concrete fortifications, the m-51 obviously designed as a tank gun to destroy other tanks

    2. Anonymous says:

lol tin waves… thats the only draw back. plus how many times due you see a kv-2 do its max damage? This thing has the armor of an e100 and better everything else EXCEPT for 100 less damage.

Looks like a decent tank. Its equiped with the same “sides are covered by tracks and spaced armor” like the IS7 but without that stupid pikenose. Armor seems to be very good.

this, im kinda and kinda not ok with, rear russian heavy tier 10, neat concept, but still pushes the is4 to the corner as the is7 does it enough and the recent buffed st-1 has been doing it aswell
