Soviet TD Changes: Update

Good day everyone,

Most of you remember our earlier post on changes coming to the Obj. 263 line. Well it seems that those changes have either been postponed or scrapped entirely. Apparently on a stream yesterday, Development Director Milos Jerabek agreed with players opinions that the decision to move the 263 to Tier 9 and place the Obj. 268 Ver.4 was a pretty bad idea.

The announcement has been received pretty well from the RU playerbase, and from the reaction in the comments of the previous post, I’m sure you all will be glad to hear it as well.

That’s it for now, everyone.

Awesome. Thanks Wargaming for listening us. Glad to see that even with a small player base, Obj 263 will survive against Murazor and his “balance”.

Woah. Taking a pretty good and unique tier X TD and practically replacing it with Generic Cookie Cutter TD #15 was a bad idea? Who would have guessed? :V

But it is nice they realized it. Still, maybe that new Tier X could be an Alternate choice from either the SU-122/54 and/or Obj. 704?

Sanity prevails! Next, we just need to get them to leave the obj 416 alone. And its not as though it would be hard to make the current obj 263 line worth playing, gun depression alone would make the line much stronger.

If they Move (not remove) the 416, they could add a third td line (the 416 was designed as a tank destroyer) that starts at tier six with the asu-57, seven has the asu-65, eight has the 416, nine has the SU-100P, and ten has the Object 120/SU-152 Taran. That would be awesome, light armor, releatively small (except the 120 with its 9 meter long gun), mobile tabk destroyers with good Camo and can snipe with deadly guns, it would be awesome!

The line is already worth playing. It just needs to be made to look more appealing. Compared to its higher alpha per shot fellow tier 10 TD’s, it’s hard to convince new players who struggle to break 2k damage per match to try it out. It’s easy to see why the obj. 263 is really a dpm monster, but thats only to the skilled players. Hell my first tier 10 TD was the jpe100, but I barely play that anymore since I got the 103B back in the spring. The high alpha per shot really made me excited to get it since most of much shots used to miss. So they really just need to make it more appealing to newer players.

WG should add a third TD line with the 10 being the turreted obj. 268 version 5. They can branch off the 416 or move that one to that line and have the tier A44 branch to the 430 and the turreted TD
