Are you kidding? The French TD line has been considered the worst of them all since forever. It has basically 2 highlights: The T3 thing, which has the best camo in the game and the T5 bathtub of doom, which gets the French 105 with APCR that has more dmg than the standard round.

This looks pretty good, so the french abomination at T6 stands no chance.

I’ve gotten oddly attached to the V39. The shit on a stick tank and I get along ok. I will admit it is a bad tank, so I guess it’s kinda like Jingles’ fatal attraction with the TOG.

Let me be clear: There is absolutely, definitely nothing wrong with liking the tank.

However, comparing the V39 and the Swedish doorstopper and presuming that the Swedish one is better because it is newer doesn’t really take into account the fact, that the V39 is widely considered to be a seriously sub-par T6 TD (Still better than Churchill Gun Carrier though). If compared to SU-100 or Hellcat, for example, the Swedish vehicle doesn’t seem really that horribly OP. In fact, it might just be a strong but largely balanced vehicle and as such, a welcome addition to the game.

    1. small? just look how much metall is around the gun!… just try to hid behind a rock, the enemy will easiely kill you, even then you think you are safe. or try to pick-a-bou… they will shoot you first.

  1. Bad dpm but for that pen and accuracy it’ll have no problem even against tier 8. 195mm pen and 0.3… Naturaly all drivers will fire nothing but gold in it, that seems to be the playstyle of all accurate and high pen tanks

You know what is bad about this TD line ?
That every tank is a older/younger brother to E-25. Fast, mobile, Invisible, with high view range, high ROF and DPM.
WG said a while ago that they will try to improve the role of armor in game and decrese number of campers.
And what we have now ? A whole camper TD line with no armor…

But there are differences between these tanks and the Swedish line. It has one thing that all these other tanks don’t have. It retains a great portion of its camo values even after it shoots. That alone created the great TD nerf that reduced TDs just sitting in bush, firing and still not being spotted. Hide in a bush all you want unless you understand bush mechanics its still not going to be an E-25 in that regard. Additionally, the E-25 has troll armor. It seems to bounce shots that you’d swear would pen unlike this series where everything will overmatch your armor. And finally, these tanks are small but not E-25 small. Its not going to be overpowered at all especially with a lot of these maps retaining corridor features.

  3. SCARed says:

well, so basically we get a Nashorn, only 50% faster, almost twice as mobile (power to weight 19.5 vs 12.6 with similar terrain resistance), more accurate and with double the gun depression. plus (if you need this with 190mm AP pen … o.O) 270mm APCR-pen.
only downside: a little worse DPM with 1,87k vs. 2,38k

    [irony]seems totally balanced.[/irony]

    1. EndlessWaves says:

The Churchill GC has 88mm of armour and bounces sod all so 15mm isn’t going to make it notably more flimsy than most tier 6 TDs.
