      And thank the Lord for that. Being a tier 9 with only 170 base pen? That’s a complete joke. You could say that the current scout MM would have it being precisely that, but this only goes to show how ridiculous the concept of scout MM was in the first place.

      They can nerf it.
      See the Super Pershing (Front Slope), the Type 59 (240 dmg up to 250, 6mm more penetration from 175 to 181, but 0.7 rounds per minutes less, reload from 6.9 up to 7.6 with rammer 115% crew without consumables) and so on.

      Well i personally think that there is at least a possiblity that it stays as it is. Well i hope so.

    I mean if these LTs that have speed and reasonable accuracy are able to get uo to 220mm pen with AP how comes tanks like T54E1 with its terrible accuracy, aimtime and mobility gets only 215. And it doesnt have armor either…

    1. T54E1 has a 4-shot magazine of 390 alpha damage shells, a good 300-400 extra health over these, and does actually have some rather decent armor, mind you. How does 220 pen, at a tier where many mediums get 250+ pen and more alpha damage/DPM/armor/health, make these light tanks OP?

      With the corridor meta they will barely be any better than they already are.

      Not to mention burst of 1560 dmg on t54e1 in 6 seconds. So don’t whine about stuff.

      I bet you are the same type of person that whines about meds being op too and heavies aren’t good enough?

        Erm youll find its true heavies arent good enough atm in the current meta, with only a few exceptions to that rule, why because armor doesnt play as much as a role as it did in the early game even WG as noticed this fact, tier 8+ meds tend to be better then there tier equivilant heavies in nearly every aspect, ie view range, dpm, speed etc. Now a days i see more medium tanks in matches then heavies( and no not just because there are more meds in the tech trees then heavies) because a gd medium tank player has more of an effect on the out come of a game then a heavy does. The fact is mediums roles as flankers has near enough become obsolete, by the fact they are able to effectivily been most heavies from the front, so flanking doesnt play as big a role. Iv seen numerous videos where its been a medium thats carried that game not the heavy, i see more medium tank platoons then anything else and i dread tge games i see 3 t54s or 3 obj140s or any combination of higher tier ned platoon as its almost always garunteed that the team with a med platoon always wins, so seriously from what iv seen from the game in closed beta till now, meds rule the roost, untill WG change the game to make heavies more effective in the frontal engagement, meds will be rule.
        You may not agree and many prob wont but this is how i see it.
        As for the changes it remains to be seen how itll actually workout, considering that most games they will see will be tier 8+ the pen increase may well be justified.

      2. Actually for the most part at all tier the heavies are way more powerful and easier to play or carry with.

        The mobility of mediums allow for higher skill cap so good players and only good players will do better in them. Mediums are supposed to be jack of trades and master of none. That is what they are. But that is why they are so popular amongst good players. Because no matter the situation there is something you can do.

        On the other hand you mention tanks like the t54 and Obj 140 which are among the most broken op bullshit tanks in the game. But this is more to do with them being Russian than a medium. See is3, is Berlin, is7, is4, su122 44, isu152 etc etc

        The biggest reason however for lack of effective armour in this game has nothing to do with excessive pen on td, or amazing mediums or anything like that at all. It’s all about gold ammo and how utterly retarded it is as a game mechanic. But of course WG wants to dance around that issue as it makes them money and mess with all the other things that aren’t the cause of the problem in the first place.

        The logic behind WG is just simply insane….. There is an issue. Determine cause of issue. Ignore cause of issue and try to fix issue by changing something else which didn’t need changing. Repeat with many many different variables except the actual cause. Wonder why players complain and rage etc. Tell players they don’t understand game. Start from beginning and repeat on a cycle.

    The amx does not need extra pen. It needs the ability not to die when ever it meets a same tier light. The reload does not help it either. Tho it does stop it being the complete basket case they were trying to pass off previously.

      Well they drum is smaller so better reload. 1 v 1 is a bad engagement most of the time. You’ll want the help of your team so you lose less hp

    They shoud give us these tier 9s for free if we have tier 8s IMO. I did get the T49 only because of that troll gun. T49 in future form can’t make me satisfied.

      Well the t49 most likely will become a free tier 9 and then you got one tier to grind up to get the xm551 with the 152 or the new 105

  6. Good all round changes. Decent useable AP without resorting to gold ammo. The gold ammo is barely better anyway.

    13 90 isn’t complete shit anymore. It still can’t toe to toe with other lights but at least it can fulfill it’s hit and run niche.
    Faster clip load and faster shooting in the clip.

    Now just buff Ru251 top speed back to 80 and leave everything else.

    Then WG I might say for once you have actually done a half decent job….

      1. Right now the ru is a shit t49.

        The ru specialty was the top speed and the t49 specialty was the deep. Now both have lost it.

        Taking lights to tier 10 and giving normal mm is a good thing. However why do they need to reduce the diversity of lights to do so. It’s silly.

    Well, the 13 90 is no longer even slightly gimped at the very least. Kind of like a light tank variant of the Skoda T50 with a 90mm gun instead of the 100mm AK47 – er, AK1.

    Now if only the 13 105 wasn’t badly gimped, I’d be satisfied with how the French lights are developing. 😛

    My german 15cm gun have 235 on an AP shell…..These light tanks have nearly the same penetration….just what the heck WG??

    I wonder if the pen buff on the F3 will apply to everything else that uses that gun, or if they’ll make it a separate gun from the F3 on the ARL 44 and AMX M4.

    Hope wg really consider the weighting of the top tier lights in regards to match making. Games are going to really unpleasant if your top tier is a light vs say an e100…lts with their poor accuracy, proposed armor and shell penetration vs distance changes for all, small lane maps with no camo cover and with the game moving towards a close engagement brawl meta…How will high tier Lts be competitive in the game?

    What is it with these damn racist developers, if it is German it needs to be average, everything that is remotely out of the average gets erased.
    Let me guess it’s camo value is also reduced in comparison to the others?
