Now the official line.
What’s so special about it? Quite a few things:
- The turret of this vehicle is at the rear, yet it’s a well-rounded light tank with a top forward speed of 65 km/h and a top reverse speed of 23 km/h.
- The Senlac’s gun has good armor penetration (189 mm with a basic round), small aiming time (1.8 seconds), and decent stabilization. Still, this tank cannot excel as a sniper because of low accuracy (the dispersion is 0.42 m at 100 meters’ distance).
- The Senlac’s HE shells deal 280 points of damage. They have 90 mm of armor penetration, making the Brit a real scourge of enemy vehicles with thin armor. The HE shells fired by the Senlac travel at the same speed as basic rounds (1020 meters per second) which means they are way faster than HE shells of other tanks.
Gameplay-wise, the Senlac is much like the HWK 30. At the beginning of a battle, you can act as an effective active spotter (provided that even faster vehicles aren’t present in your team). By the battle’s end (with enemy light tanks already back in their Garages) you can get more aggressive.
The Senlac has a crew of three.

at last a British light… I really hope this is the start of a proper scout line for us brits…. We have a lot of wheeled AFV’s that could make a British wheeled light line and give those garlic sniffing Frogs a run for their money xD

I hope they don’t skip the low tiers in the branch. The UK tech tree is missing both the Tetrarch and the Harry Hopkins and it’s an absolute shame.
So it’s a British AMX/BC?
Can’t find it online but, given the approximate time and it’s appearance, it is *almost* certainly a development of the FV301, just like the FV304 (“Bert”) is. Visually it looks right and the timing is right.
My guess (and is a guess) is that it is the first stage in the studies that led to the FV10x CVR(T) series. That started with a requirement for a 75 or 105 in a limited traverse turret on a steel hull, which turned out to be to heavy for the Airportable requirement, so they went with aluminium and ended up with the as the Scorpion base vehicle. So, as an educated guess, prior to the development of the 105 from the 20pdr and prior to the FV340 engined first iteration of the CVR (no distinction between Tracked and Wheeled at that date) but post FV301.
So my money is on a development project, or possibly test platform based on an already built FV304, dated between 1954 and 1960, probably closer to the former, based off a hull design (or hull) for the FV301 / FV304 project cancelled in 1953.
Could be fictitious but could also be real and the known info fits it being a real design, even if it only reached the ‘general idea’ stage.
