Tetrarch tanks were flown over on D-Day, 6th June, 1944, for the invasion of France during WW2. Originally adopted by the British Army as a light tank it became the first British airborne tank.

The British sent some Tetrarchs (and some Valentines) to the USSR as part of the military aid that they and the US sent to help the fight against Germany.
