If the gun was kept, the ELC would need to be t6, and it would not fit their plan for the french line.

But yes, goodby french lt capable of 1v1 any tank in their tier.

  1. Patata Caliente says:

I wonder if we will ever see a full British light tank line. Did the Brits really not produce any tanks that would fit the bill?

    1. Nocomment says:

      Short answer: yes.

Longer answer: There is plenty of British stuff for a Lt line and WG say they are planning one, however don’t hold your breath. Going by their repeated non introduction of the Chieftain I would say its on a similar Havok like timeline.

  2. Ion7 says:

M24 went from .35 accuracy to .42 (only real change) while the M7, which gets better camouflage and way better gun stats, goes from .44 to .36 (WG admits it was under powered as crap). With these changes, how does the crusader fit into this? It wont be changed a bit?

    1. The crusader is a medium tank with light tank camouflage mechanics. The crusader doesn’t get scout match making which is why it isn’t called a scout. The difference between scout tanks and light tanks is subtle but to help you swallow the idea, the majority of tier 1-3 tanks are light tanks but not scout tanks necessarily. Scout tanks only start at tier 4 with select light tanks getting scout match making. Hope that makes sense but really, the crusader is too slow and doesn’t have the view range to effectively scout. It really is just a sneaky medium tank.

      1. mossburger77 says:

I just call non-scout LT’s (like the crusader) “Combat Light’s” as they dont tend to have the highest speeds for LT’s and are supposed to be duking it out with other tanks unlike Scout LT’s whose main role is to scout.

    2. Michael says:

Hmm, I’m grinding the M7 at the moment and the M3 gun sucks donkey bollocks. The 6 pdr is way better (at the moment), i wonder if they’ll remove the 6 pdr too?

    3. Jurrunio says:

Crusader is underperforming, but WG will not admit it unless they are buffing it next patch. It’s just the way they do things.

    1. leggasiini says:

It has absolutely terrible view range so it cant really scout effectively. It seems balanced to me, DPM is only thing going for it over other lights

      1. OpaKnobbi says:

Hmm true, but you have to consider that aim time and dispersion aren’t that bad too… And when it’s top tier it will have absolutely no problems with it’s penetration as well!
Imagine tier 3 and 4 getting mown down by this little Tank…

Maybe it should get a high DPM to compensate for it’s weaknesses, but almost 2200? Seems WAY to much for Me

My guess : Light tanks with normal MM won’t change, like the crusader, the covenanter, the T-80, etc. Mostly, only tanks with scout MM will change. So expect some news about tier 4 lights with scout MM too, like the T-50 who went from “tier 4 scout MM” to “tier 5 normal MM”, and the Luchs, with a more than probable nerf, cuz it won’t go into tier 7 anymore. It won’t be OP when top tier anymore. The tier 4 light chinese tank will be probably nerfed too for the same reason.

  4. GamerKid says:

NONONONONONONONONONONONO. NEINEINEINEINEINEINEINEINEINEIEN. FUCK NO, IF THEY CHANGE THE ELC I QUIT THIS FUCKING GAME. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. leo says:

“Maybe it should get a high DPM to compensate for it’s weaknesses, but almost 2200? Seems WAY to much for Me” – DPM is only DPM if its effective – low Pen means thats not 2200 effective-DPM, but rather much less unless you spam premium rounds

  6. lafie says:

To be honest the M7 is one of those tanks that’s hard to classify, both in RL and in game.

Changing it to a light tank (it is a overgrown Stuart to be fair) should be a good thing for it.

  7. lafie says:

As for the rest..I don’t know, if they only get +2mm (knock on wood) they should be all right.

Hardly spectacular, and yes I am going to miss that 90mm on my much loved ELC, but all right.

And no I won’t be selling my ELC just yet even with these changes. 😛

    1. Jurrunio says:

It’s alpha is the highest among tier 5 LTs, MTs and HTs (same as bdr g1b). I think it will play more like a T49, with the bonus that it is fxxxxxx hard to hit

  8. Anonymous says:

M7 with the small pea shooter is one the most fun tanks in the game. Completely OP when top tier. Gold spam if not. The only tank that i have 3rd MoE.
