2.0 will finally give us a “Thick White Cross” aim crosshair or we have to continue to do through thin black hair?

    1. stormcrow99 says:

There is a wide variety of reticles in the game, if you cannot see them (or at least some of them) even with objects that aid in seeing stuff, I’m honestly surprised you’ve even made it as far as speaking you issue. No offense intended, but I don’t think the tiniest minorities problems are in the top of all priorities.

  2. qwertypresser says:

I just hope that this Sandbox Server will be will run better than the regular Test Servers. Because it will be hard to test out the new chances if you are being team killed for not having a .ru attached to your name.

      1. qwertypresser says:

And let’s not forget the excellent customer support team, who are ready to spring into action at a moments notice, to ensure that we have the best possible playing experience.

    1. repofox says:

And dont forget the immiment gold spamming.
It is very hard to test how certain tansk behave armor wise, if everyone is just using gold ammo 24/7

  3. fighting_falcon93 says:

Why do I get the feeling that they will completely fu** this up? :/

    1. Nocomment says:

Because they will come to the conclusion Russian tx med’s need a buff and prem’ ammo isn’t as good as it could be once these are improved all will be well with the income stream erm… game

  4. Tyrud says:

Part of me is happy they are enlisting the help of the players for the global rebalance. Then again, part of me is also worried about that same thing as players are really fickle. They definitely got one thing right; this global rebalance is going to be a VERY difficult process.

  5. Str0nkTenk says:

‘We want the best players to test these out’

this is a mistake. You need to test this with people with a broad range of skills and experience.

sure have some good players but there should be a proportionate numbet of bad players, noobs etc*.
*This should represent the same proportions of skills, numbers of games played, win rates, etcas seen on the servers.

only then will wg get any meaningful data.

    1. I think they made it like that for the video… WG been a huge defender of having broad types of players in their tests lately. And btw, welcome to the comment section. 🙂

    2. stormcrow99 says:

Noobs testing the game and have them complain when most of the tanks aren’t IS-series kind of easy mode?

  6. slotracer says:

Why does anyone believe anything they say? They are going to invite people to participate in this… of course.. will they listen? No. How do we know this? They have no history of it. They staged a video with the WGNA staff, community contributors reading BS questions ONLY for the camera so WG could say “hey look we’re listening, see look at how we’re listening” only to later find out that **shocklingly** the whole thing was BS.

  7. wfschepel says:

Wow, this was informative… Oh, wait. He didn’t say anything at all other than hint that this global rebalance is going to take a decade.

  8. Anonymous says:

They’re actually going to let capable players instead of bots test content? Sounds way too good to be true considering WG’s record.

  9. JoeBlobdob says:

Yeh bring on the arty rebalance, they’ll make all the big boom ones into faster firing, lower damage,…….. just like the leFH18B2, the biggest killer in the game. (rubs hands in glee)

    1. stormcrow99 says:

No, they wouldn’t do the mistake. They wouldn’t make 240s shoot like 105s. Hope dies last, gentlemen. (and women before someone bashes me for being a sexist human scum)

  10. Laserguided says:

Interesting. Will WG make changes based on player feedbacks or their own “statistics”? Will WG allow “OP” tanks to exist that everyone wants and can have for themselves; or will WG only allow tanks that fit their balance rubrics?

I want WG to buff weak tanks for balance purpose instead of nerf the strong tanks. It’s no fun to play weak tanks.

    1. Anonymous says:

What I would like to see come out from the global rebalance is the following:

Autoloaders get split into two types: revolver type and an actual autoloader. The revolver versions remain as is, but with a nerf to between shot time but with a slightly shorter reload time (~2-3 seconds max) to compensate and also a reduction in time to reload a partially shot clip, using the full reload time divided by the shells in a full clip to give you your reload rate and using that value to calculate the time it takes to reload your clip back to full

A true autoloader tank would have the loader crew member removed (placed into barracks) whilst the gun gets a slightly quicker RoF but at the cost of an increased chance of gun module damage on turrent pen, to represent the more fragile nature of the system compared to a human loader.

      1. stormcrow99 says:

Wouldn’t the “ture” autoloader damage be to the ammorack, since that’s the thing that slows loading? If the LOADER is hit, the accuracy shouldn’t drop and if the GUN is hit, the reload shouldn’t drop.

  11. Aquila says:

“Now it’s time to translate words into action”, by posting a video full of words and with no action.

  12. lameminator says:

They should filter the whining spoiled brat out of this test, and leave those who could be constructive enough. Just look at the forums, when someone from WG offers a chance to players to give opinions, all they do is whine about the “overpowered” artillery, and the gold ammo, like they weren’t trying to solve anything in this game. The younger generations of gamers are a disgrace I can tell you. When I was in my early teens I did not told anyone who bested me in a game that “die cheater” or something equivalent. I don’t remember anyone to be a scrub lord when I went online in games like Age of Empires 2 (was using All Seeing Eye to browse servers with this one, does this name sounds familiar to anyone?), Warcraft 3, BF1942 or even Cod1 (CoD kids are famed by retardness), games form the early 2000s. When I was a 10 year old I was more civilized then most of you commenting in this blog.
Who wants to put the fate of the balance of the game into the hands of scrubs? I DON’T , and I’ll stand up for the artillery class and say, they’re not op, why would they be? I shoot a heavy tank with the fv3805, and deal similar damage to a td of the same tier, and reload twice as much, IF I even hit the target. You know what? They even complain when they get killed by a fast firing low dmg arty, which close enough to be the ones like in AW.
Those who are underage or known to haunt the forums with their whining should not practice in this.

Those who still complain how op the arty is, should play some BS moba instead of this. It’s the kind of genre for brainless players.

    1. Masterpupil says:

“Whiny brats”, as if the Devs themselves are spoiled brats that whine about artillery. I’m not going to bother whether or not artillery is broken, as it so clearly is and has been said to be broken by the developers themselves, but don’t think you’re better than others when you yourself are complaining about people complaining.

    2. stormcrow99 says:

The fast firing artilleries are genuinely OP, the lefefefefe will track you and if you don’t repair kit and haul, this thing will kill you, you have nothing to do in that situation. No crew + equipment combo can defeat the reload on that.

  13. On one hand I would like to complain about WG taking ages to see balance issues, but then again, they do seem to be trying I guess. I really hope we are starting to see a new era for WoT, else I fear that it might die slowly as they add features without fixes.

    1. thesherbet says:

one would hope they saw what happened to CCP Games when they started going down the more features, more paywalls route. They lost about 60% of their active subscriptions in the space of a week following some leaked emails from the company and afterwards sacked a load of staff and completely reshuffled the entire company to make things right, and now its growing exponentially even after over a decade

  14. Jason says:

I do not really anticipate gamer input to matter at all. It will all come down to the statistics. That is how they evaluate everything. If the win ratio is too high, it is overpowered. If the bounce stats are too high, the armor is overpowered. They just want a lot of folks playing the test to give them an adequate sample size to make decisions on.

  15. Best and most active…please.

Enough of the fucking retarded bots who whine about everything except the stuff that is actually broken simply because they have a single fkn clue.

  16. 1n_Soviet_Russia says:

Anything that gets the retard tomatoes out of the balancing department. It is because of these people we have crap like the overbuffed T110e5 and Skoda TVP 50/51. Pubbies were doing below average in them when they really did not need to be buffed to that degree.

    1. Ultrasonic2 says:

i dont know why its so hard i can get the stats of a tank on paper and tell you if it’s OP or not why can’t they do this too.

  17. this seems very bad for an arty player like me (I live with a slow and laggy internet which only lets me play arty) if Wg changes arty for something like an 155 mm HE round will do 200 dmg heavy campers will be happy but arty will be useless, even if they let us shoot smoke… will you shoot after realoding for 40 seconds for doing 0 damage?

  18. Anonymous says:

Hmmmm…. This, rebalance, will definetly make WN8 goes wild… and it will produce unreal values (up or down, time will show) with great possibility to introduce new WN 🙂

    1. stormcrow99 says:

Statistics that can be provided during games via XVM and the like, such as WN8 can and will not ever be sufficient for the kind of analysis people are trying to get with WN8. They’re essentially trying to fit a persons knowledge, skill, possibly years of experience and player background of tank types and playstyles, all very different from each other, into a single 4-digit number. A number cannot provide and essay worth of information, people pls, deal with it.

But no. That just was not to be. People will continue with the shitty programs doing the aforementioned, and bash people for their bad stats instead of possibly excellent or diabolically bad in-game performance.

  19. They say they’ll be picking “the best and most active players” for the Sandbox, but I hope that doesn’t leave us normal humans behind. The majority of us are average players, and if the vehicles are optimized around unicum play, it won’t be a good look for everyone else.

    1. stormcrow99 says:

As long as vehicles are personal, have their dedicated roles, fit certain niches and are not better nor worse than the other vehicles, skill requirements really are nonexistent, as people are different, there’s something for everyone.
What really is the worst is A, people trying to play outside of their comfort zone and failing horribly and B, vehicles that are excellent all-round performers. The Cromwell is a great example, arguably the best tier 6 medium. This thing can be literally anything but artillery. With the howitzer, even that to a certain degree. Nerf the viewrange (this goes for all tanks to increase the need for scouts) and decrease DPM to be more on-par with tanks like the A-43 and the VKs. Just a suggestion, but the tank stands out too favorably among the competition.
