War Thunder 1.73: Arsenal VG.33

Good afternoon ladies and gents, it is that time of day again where gaijin has unveiled the latest addition to the French tech tree. Today it is the Arsenal VG.33, a French monoplane fighter that saw little action in World War 2 but will be given the chance to prove itself in the skies of War Thunder.

The first plane that will take a spot in Rank 2, the VG.33 is armed with 4x 7.5 machine guns in the wings and an engine mounted 20mm cannon and a very respectable speed of 558 km/h at medium altitudes. This plane also shows promise of being quite capable at boom and zooming with a potential of 800 km/h in a dive. Thus with the same armament and similar characteristics as the D.520, it will be easy for Dewoitine fans to adjust and master this aircraft.

Thus with this reveal today, we are seeing quite a promising fighter line starting to develop, and with this and the Caudron confirmed as fighters we are seeing a trend towards fast fighters. But note we are missing some key French fighters such as the Bloch MB.150 and the Morane-Saulnier M.S.406, so fingers crossed we shall see more of the mainstays make their way into the French tree.

Now it is time to wait for the next reveal, and until then hope you all enjoy your days.
