Wargaming to Open UK-Based Studio

Located in Guildford, the office will be working on a new IP

Wargaming is pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Guildford, Surrey. Not far from London, the studio will be working on an unannounced free-to-play multiplatform MMO title built in the Unreal Engine.

The newly opened office will be led by Sean Decker, a gaming industry veteran, who has worked for Electronic Arts, DICE and CCP over the past 17 years and on franchises such as Battlefield, Mirror’s Edge, SimCity and Eve Online.

“With the expansion of Wargaming throughout many continents and countries, I’m excited to be opening up this studio in the UK and leading the development of a new Wargaming title,” says Sean Decker, Product Director. “We’re looking forward to building a fantastic team in Guildford.”

Wargaming UK is looking to build a core development team of 25 people. Those looking to apply can find the vacancy listings here.

“MMO” sounds kinda vague here. like, what genre? if it’s RPG, i’m already hooked to FFXIV now. mainly because the grind involves an incredibly less amount of pain from WoT grinds. a lot nicer to stare at a Miqo’te’s ass for an hour than a dead tank’s ass from a gold shell spam

Yeah, as if WG will let their main money-maker die. They heavily invested in it years ahead, so no chance of them “scrambling” anything. The news here are about small studio in UK who will be making some low-end MMO and do some other useless shit.

their money maker isnt making them money like before. who said they will shut it down? they are currently in massive money milking mode selling anything and everything, forcing ads on players etc etc. but reality is people are spending way less money because the new players they are bringing in dont care like the old ones wg chased away did.

this trash company has failed in everything they have tried to do. they got lucky with tanks but the ride is over
