WG’s Kiev Studio loses General Manager

Hello,

Oleg Gotynyan, who served as general manager of the Persha Studio, left the company, so far no substitute was found.

Persha Studio is currently the Ukrainian representative office from Wargaming, both started cooperating in 2010 to make the French Tanks for WoT. After that they signed a partnership and Persha started creating World of Warplanes which, for two and half years, Oleg Gotynyana was the lead of the project.

Oleg decided to leave the company for personal reasons, to rest and restart.

Persha studio has been around since 2000, they have worked with Electronic Arts, Activision, Cryptic Studios, Triumph Studios, Sony Online Entertainment, Microsoft and Disney and currently have over 500 employers.

This is also the studio who created World of Tanks: Generals.

    1. I would have agreed up until the 0.6.2 and 0.6.4 recent updates. I actually thing WOTG is a much better game than it ever was in the Beta and initial rollout. I’ve really enjoyed the new personal missions with rewards you can’t get through pay-to-win

I would have agreed with you until the recent 0.6.2 and 0.6.4 updates, I think they really have dramatically improved the game from what it was like in the Beta and initial release last year. The creation of personal missions with rewards that are unattainable through pay-to-win is also a nice challenge and I’ve been having a blast working on them.

  1. it’s shocking how they failed so much with WoWp when they have worked with all those big companies before, I would expect them to do much better now that I know they have some “credit” with major companies like Activision, EA, and even Disney

Why can’t I edit! Short should obviously be sword, but with my mild dyslectic issues, I sometimes type the weirdest things without even noticing it. Damn it.

Yet before patch 1.5 WoWP was a promising game, player base was growing at that time. Than developers decided to destroy this game by a horrible patch. If anything, developers are fully responsible for WoWP’s failure. If he is in charge of that department, i’d say he truly deserve this.

Well I feel bad now. People have said WoWP has actually become a decent game but people aren’t just playing because of War Thunder.

    1. WT has nothing to do with it. The quality of WoWp itself has been gradually declining since just after Beta. It could have been a decent game even with WT as a competitor.

Let’s hope the next one WG will fire is the guy behind the introduction of Japanese heavies. H’ai, so desu.

  5. I do not understand how such an incompetent manager, responsible for the 2 biggest flops of WG, could remain for so long working for WG.

WG’s incompetence exists at all levels but the management level wins by far the incompetence contest.
