Good day everyone,
Full notes for 9.20.1 as they stand at the moment:
New Features.
– Large-scale update to the Long-Awaited Backup campaign (campaign I of the Personal Missions)
Idea Behind Changes.
* Completely reworked the visual and sound component of the Personal Missions
* Added completely new and unique rewards
* Revised mission conditions so that the main reward for the operation is always relevant
* Added Orders that considerably simplify completion of the Personal Missions
* Learn more about the changes to the Personal Missions in a special video that can be watched in the game client
Interface and Sound.
Reworked all interfaces of the Personal Missions:
1. Changed the point of entry to the Personal Missions: now it is located on the upper panel of the Garage, under the Battle! button. The tab name is Campaign
2. Added the “General” screen that displays all operations
3. Completely reworked the screen of operations: now it looks like a geographical map with objectives displayed as map areas
4. Completely reworked the Campaign reward screen:
a) now the main reward (a vehicle) is located in the center of the screen
b) Added operation statistics: now players can see how much more credits can be earned
Added new sounds:
1.Added a special sound track for the Personal Missions
2. Added interactive sounds: the more missions within a set are complete, the more intensive music is played
New Way of Earning Reward Vehicles
Commendations were replaced with Components:
1.To receive the reward vehicle for an operation, all five Components should be collected: hull, suspension, gun, power unit, radio
2. Each component corresponds to an appropriate mission set within the operation:
a) Power unit: set of missions for light tanks
b) Suspension: set of missions for medium tanks
c) Hull (+turret or cabin): set of missions for heavy tanks
d) Gun: set of missions for tank destroyers
e) Radio: set of missions for SPGs
3. To receive a component, the final (15th) mission of the corresponding set of missions should be completed
Orders
Added a new game asset: Order:
1.To receive an Order, the final mission of any set should be completed with honors
2. The Orders can be committed (i.e. used) to any mission. Thus:
a) The selected mission will be considered completed without honors
b) The player will receive the reward for the completion of the primary conditions
c) A used Order remains committed to the mission
d) The committed Order is not removed but disabled until the player retrieves it
3. To retrieve a committed order, the mission should be completed with honors. Thus, the player receives the Order back and can use it again.
4. Number of Orders to be committed to missions:
a) Any mission from 1 to 14 requires 1 Order
b) Mission 15 requires 4 Orders
Summary: orders can be used to pass complicated missions or missions that the player considers to be uninteresting. Important: players can commit Orders to the final mission of a set, even if the previous 14 missions are not completed. Having completed the four sets of missions with honors, players can immediately receive the last (fifth) vehicle component.
a) Two badges can be completed in each operation:
* The rank II badge is received together with the reward vehicle.
* The rank I badge is earned for completion of all 75 missions in a particular operation with honors.
b) After completing all missions in all operations, the player will receive the special unique badge: Campaign I Champion
2. Added new rewards: Camouflage patterns:
a) A set of three unique Camouflage patterns (summer, winter, and desert) can be earned for completion of each operation:
* A set of three Camouflage patterns for the reward vehicle is earned for completion of all 75 missions
* The same set of Camouflage patterns becomes available for any vehicle of the nation the reward vehicle belongs to, once all 75 missions are completed with honorsChanges to the Mission Conditions
Missions in each operation were revised to correspond to the main reward. For example, now all missions of the StuG IV operation can be completed in Tier V vehicles; missions of the T28 Heavy Tank Concept operation can be completed in VII vehicles, etc. At the same time, participation restrictions remained unchanged. Players can complete missions of any operation even in Tier X vehicles.
Secondary conditions of final (15th) missions in each set were made more diverse. This is because of the fact that the additional reward of the final missions became more valuable: it now provides Orders.
Important! If the mission condition requires spotting 5 enemy vehicles (for example), and the player spots 7 vehicles, it is obvious that the mission is considered completed. This rule is true for all numeric conditions.
– Bonds and Awards.
Starting with Update 9.20.1, the Epic Medals and Battle Heroes achievements will be additionally rewarded with Bonds. Exceptions are accumulative medals. The number of Bonds is not final and might change.
– Improvements to Bootcamp.

* Disabled irrelevant options in the context menus of the vehicle research window, Tech Tree, and vehicle panel
* Balanced the rewards (credits and experience) for victory and defeat when completing Bootcamp
* Rewards received for completion of Bootcamp are displayed in the Notification Center

T34-3
“Changed the gun depression angle of the 122 mm D-25TA gun from 0 to -4 degrees.”
What exactly does this mean? This gun already has -5 depression angle.
i think its for the rear and corner’s of the tank.
I want to see -7 like the T10’s…. then the tank will FINALLY be how it should be.
Was hoping for Caravan’s 20pdr type A to be researcheable for BP, but alas, BP will remain to be outgunned by even the Firefly.. Happy to get a free tier X though..
Looking at the mission changes, do i misunderstood it or we’d need to finish all type of vehicles to get the reward tank as opposed to the current system where we could get the reward with 4 missions cleared with honor?
Looks like you have to finish all 5, however, if you finish 4 with homours you can use the 4 Orders that gives you to skip/complete the 5th…
Ah i see.. Thanks mate o7
Would be nice if someone explained orders using English and not that confusing rubbish
Is the M48 patton just renamed or will the model change again?
Some nice changes anyway
The turret is being changed to reduce the commanders cupola down to a nub. ita going to be a huge improvement over what’s currently there.
Big patch, lots of changes and finally Super Conq fun times
T-34-3 getting -4 degrees out of nowhere. New kinds of gameplay-changing buff incoming in further patches in greater numbers. Can’t wait for extra depression on my ruskie tanks.
And these Bonds for Medals, I wish WG gave bonds for medals gathered prior to the patch. It would make bonds popular among whole community just overnight and people could already buy some equipment. Obviously better players would still get more since they have more medals so no harm done.
My friend, what is the -4 degrees the patch note says? It has -5 right now.
Isn’t M48 Patton already received the new model along with M46 Patton buffs?
Or am I wrong?
This will be their chance to do an “oops” when the tumor grows back. Really, this just sucks. I just bought it back AGAIN cause the biggest weakspot became normal-sized. WG must really have a bad opinion of us now, cause this is all just BS. Like the guy at work who SEEMS busy, but NEVER accomplishes anything.
T-34-3
“Changed the gun depression angle of the 122 mm D-25TA gun from 0 to -4 degrees.”
What exactly is this? This gun already has depression angle -5 degrees.
Back
Probably for when the gun is over the sides and/or rear of the hull.
Good stuff here if you ask me. No mention of the female tankers that you would usually get as a reward, though. Should we assume that particular part if the personal missions remains unchanged?
T-34-3: * Changed the gun depression angle of the 122 mm D-25TA gun from 0 to -4 degrees
from 0 to -4, sounds about right 😉
Missions in each operation were revised to correspond to the main reward.
So we can do Obj. 260 missions only in Tier 10 vehicles? or did I read that wrong?
No, they meant that you would realistically be able to do them at tier of the tank you will get for the set of missions, and it refers mostly to T28 HTC and StuG IV, I mean for example earlier you weren’t really going to get 3k damage in your tier V TD for the mission 😀

Seems to me like that tho
I read it as the missions have been scaled so that you can complete them using tanks of the tier of the reward tank. For example, they’ll probably reduce the amount of damage you have to do, take and tank for heavy tank mission 15 for the StuG IV mission line from the current 6000 total to something that is more doable for people who might only have tier V heavies.
Nice!!!! Except for nerf of rhm gun… 360 to 320…ekk…other than that awesome! So we are actually getting a new model for the m48? And not just the turret with original hull?
Does that mean they finalle fixed the mission to kill 3 artys as scout and spot them when there are only two or not? 😀
I wish 🙂 I’m stuck at LT-7 for 260 since the begining of this year lol
Hmmm.
Nice changes to the British heavies. Makes them more relevant. However WGsimply says ‘improved hull and turret armour’. One of the most important changes which will dictate how good or bad the tanks are and there is no actual detail.
British td with some welcome buffs which are really good.
Tier 10 lights are still extremely meh even with the buffs. Rhm Panzer the worst of them actually got a DPM nerf which is hilarious since it’s by far the worst.
Where are the buffs to the rest of the light tanks in the game? (T54 lt, 13 90, t71 EXCLUDED)
Good changes to the Chinese mediums…still require further buffs imho. Especially the type 59 (I don’t have it so thats not the reason I’m asking for a buff).
Arty changes? Meh. Idgaf.
Stb has better turret? And yet is still worse than and 30B in every single way. Oh and leopard 1 falls even further into oblivion. Sweet.
At least overall it is decent. Knowing WG we could have had more buffs to the 140 and t54…..and other Russian vs tanks. Thank God it didn’t come to that.
nah, T-54 D10T2S is mehhhh after the “buff” , nobody actually shot at T-54 turret anyway , D54 just have too low DPM. They actually did good when rebalance T-54 in this patch
What world do you live in?
In my tier 9 heavies and basically anything with pen around 250 or higher I would just aim at the cheeks of the t54 turret since that was easier to hit on most occasions. Especially if they were hulldown and definitely if I had gold loaded.
The proper top gun got a DPM buff AND kept it’s HEAT shells on top of keeping the same ridiculous gun handling stats. Accuracy in this game is totally irrelevant anyway. Aimtime is a bit meh sometimes but at most ranges that the t54 engages at the gun handling proves supreme.
All those changes on British tanks and nothing done on the FV201 (A45).
Seems like they’re focusing on tier 8 and up at the moment.
This game is steadily turning into World of (Gun) Depression. Few years ago it was “This nation’s feature is stronk armour, that nation’s autoloaders, this nation gets great gun depression”. Now it’s “You get good gun depression! And you get good gun depression! Everybody gets good gun depression! Except you, Commies”.
Although a-historical features as a whole depress me, this I don’t mind as much. Since battles in WoT are at vastly reduced distances to reality, the vertical angles involved are too. Firing over a ridge from a kilometre away doesn’t need as much gun depression as firing from 100 yards away…
Changes with personal missions are something I didn’t expected and like it very much. This can solve problems with missions that are not dependent on skill or need specific tank to finish. I’m talking about capping or setting in fire. Also arty missions when you need assist damage are somewhat frustrating. You can be mvp, deal massive amount of damage, module damage, detracks and still targets stunned by you don’t take any damage.
“Missions in each operation were revised to correspond to the main reward. For example, now all missions of the StuG IV operation can be completed in Tier V vehicles; missions of the T28 Heavy Tank Concept operation can be completed in VII vehicles”
So now they are forcing people to play those abysmal missions with even lesser choice of tanks?
Sure, that definitely is to help people complete them, it’s certainly not a blatant cashgrab forcing people to spend more on new, high-tier tanks. Lmao.
Why doesn’t the M60 get a buff similar to the M48 Patton?
How much did it cost you ? That’s why.
And how much does the m48 cost?
Oh wait…
Both only cost time. And clan wars costs a lot more time, gold ammo and prem time than grinding a tier 10 tank. The only added cost for the m48 is the converting of free so if anyone is actually stupid enough to do that.
WG easily makes more money from people who play a clan wars seasonnthan just a regular grind to a tier 10 tanks.
The changes to the british TDs are massive. I still think the old TD line needs some help, but this looks really nice. Maybe I will actually play this game again, just to drive some of my old favourites ;D
Super conquer is going to be the new type 5 lol you shooting heat at me? Well fuck you gold spammers you won’t pen lol
When will they give some love to my leopard and E50m? E50 can use some turret armor and Leo is almost outclassed by every other med and I don’t think its worth playing anymore.
So the conway doesnt lose his current gun? hurrey! I really like that DPM monster like it is now.
French arty is lighter? so it is faster now, I really like it!
So to get 260 now is eanugh do with honor
4/5 M15 of stug,
4/5 M15 HTC,
4/5 M15 T55 and
1/5 M15 of 260 plus use all previous orders , instead reach 4/5…
really easier….
that mean WG want to assign most possible 260, probably to introduceon Personal Missions 2.0….
* errata corrige,
5/5 in all previous or or 2/5 in 260, orders give just primary and no honor
Previous orders only usable again, if you completed the skipped mission with honor. So, no.
obvius if you keep all orders for 260:
5/5 stug
5/5 htc
5/5 55
1/5 260,
all with honor, 16 orders for last 4/5 to get 260.
or
4/5 stug
4/5 htc
4/5 55
2/5 260 (those two dont need honor), 12 orders for last 3/5
So, yes.
Does that mean who ever got all campaign 1 missions done with honor gets all the new rewards instantly or never gets them?
So. UK Tanks get a “buff”. Nope. MY biggest complaint about Conqueror is it’s long reload, WHICH THEY MADE LONGER. Also increased dispersion all around. All in all, I feel the UK tanks got nerfed more than buffed. Extra armor is nice, BUT the worst part of the Conq 120mm is the LONG reload, just like the Cent 7/1 BIGGEST problem is STUPID LONG reload.
Also, too much effort is going into silly things, like the damn Missions tabs thing. Didn’t need changes in the 1st place. I don’t want to have to LEARN how to use the tabs, as the earlier versions were FINE AS IT WAS.
Once again, they fixed something that was not broken, and made it worse.
Also, NO CHANGE to the 59 Patton tumor, just a bit more pen ? Useless. Classic WG fail.
Conq’s reload was nerfed as it’s armour is actually effective now. It’s easy to work around a long reload, however, harder to work around crappy armour. Conq looks like it will actually play the role of a heavy better than it does now.
We’ll see what the results are like once the patch goes live, as the test server is usually an inaccurate representation of normal pub matches.
I wouldn’t jump the gun saying it’s armour is effective now. The Strv has a spaced armour shield and that does bugger all against heat. If the Super Conq isn’t super anti heat then the gun handling+dpm+mobility nerf will make it far worse than the 215b + the fact most apcr in the game could melt through the standard turret already I don’t see what different an extra 20mm will make.
Besides not every heavy in the game should be an armoured monster, the 215b was fun because it could outkill any medium with it’s better armour or any heavy with it’s better dpm 1v1. It jut required an adaptive playstyle. Slowly but surely every single shot heavy in the game is being turned into some chokepoint holding monster… That’ll lead to fun gameplay
Type 59 ‘buff’ is pathetic. Come on WG it’s supposed to be a special reward tank ffs….
As an owner of type 59 that almost doesn’t play WOT, I like it.
The 59 is a normal premium that can’t be bought anymore like the e25. If a large gun handling buff is pathetic then I can only assume you want it to be ‘defender’ level of broken which is great for the game…
Played it this weekend, one battle… and now its rusting in the garage again.
Giving it a Gunhandling buff is nice, but it will not make it competitive in any way. Mobility and Penetration os just too bad nowadays in Wot. I would give up the pref. MM with a smile, if they would buff it to a competitive level.
FV4202 now is one of the best premium medium tanks at tire 8.
Conqueror +turret made slower to turn
Gun made slower to load….
Gj wg i take it, u dont want people to bother with the uk heavy tree.
T-34-3 HD model looks nice and buffs also great (only bad things are turret sides and rear engine roof got nerfed)
Wwise got updated, that is always good change (performance wise on certain systems)
“Missions in each operation were revised to correspond to the main reward. For example, now all missions of the StuG IV operation can be completed in Tier V vehicles; missions of the T28 Heavy Tank Concept operation can be completed in VII vehicles, etc.”
What? You need to be in a tank with the tier at least the same like the reward vehicle?
That’s pretty cruel, since there is a mission where you need to make 5 times more damage than your own HP in TDs. On Object 260, making 5 times more damage than any HP of T10 TDs is quite hardcore…
