    1. «T32 will become a beast»
not really, its buff are still below the META

the Soviet HTs for example, that are also being “balanced”, of the 4 one has 212mm of pen while the others have at least 220mm (IS-2-II=221mm; IS-3=225mm; KV-4=227mm) and now not only does the KV-4 receive some armor buffs but on top of that its GRIND GUN (not the TOP GUN like for the T32, although YOU SHOULD NEVER need to use the T32 stock gun making the TOP GUN the GRIND GUN) gets buffed 217mm while having the highest alpha in the tier among the non-DERP guns

      just for comparision
      T32: 198mm » 208mm = +10mm

      KV-4: 175mm » 217mm = +42mm

TRUE BALANCE would be the T32 getting buffed to 218mm of pen (still below the META) and the 122mm D-25T being buffed to 185mm at Tier 7 and 205mm for Tier 8 and above

they have done ot before with the multiple 105mm T5’s and 90mm T15’s at Tier 8 on the US TT, why not do the same for the Soviet 122mm D-25T and just “invent” some upgraded versions

      1. KingTigerDestroyer says:

Technically while the D-25Ts on Russian tanks are going to have more flat penetration than the T 32s gun it will still have worse angle penetration due its standard shell being changed to an APCR shell and thus having lower normalisation.

      2. @KingTigerDestroyer you are right, however you won’t be stuck with it forever, the D-25T will still be a transitional gun until you get the top gun, unlike the T32 that will be stuck with 208mm of pen in a game where there are no longer frontal weakspots on most tanks, besides the IS-3 and KV-4 gameplay will once again be the brawler type, at such close distances it is much easier to hit the flat areas of the armor
if we talk specifically gameplay wise the T32 needs it more than the KV-4, ideally you want to hide the hull but with distance the 208mm of pen become even less effective

      3. Sturmi0545 says:

@KingTigerDestroyer: has anyone ever tested empirically if the game actually does take projectile normalisation into account? when it comes to mechanics that are a little more complex, I’d always assume that they either don’t work or that WG is lying about their existence (e.g. like they did with the MM system that would put you in high tier after too many low tier battles …)

      4. Dave Daveman says:

The KV-4 doesnt even come close to having the highest alpha in the tier, even among the non-derp guns. There are multiple heavies with 440 alpha. There are even a couple of heavies with 490 alpha at Tier 8.

      5. Dave Daveman says:

@Sturmio545, Yes, Normalisation is 100% a thing. Get a friend with an STRV S1 and you get in a tank with a 90mm gun that has HEAT as its premium ammo. Theoretically, you should bounce off the angled front/top of the STRV S1 every time with your AP until you switch over to HEAT, and then you’ll start penning pretty reliably due to HEAT having normalisation upto 80 degrees.

  1. Stinker says:

That T32 is going to be worth a revisit if Reloadtime and Penetration are going to be somewhere around these values.
