An update to tha MM mechanics.
There are plans to release Micropatch 0.9.18_2 on April 27th, 2017
Maintenance will begin at 03:30 Pacific Time (10:30 UTC) and will last approximately one hour.
During maintenance, the World of Tanks servers will be unavailable.
The matchmaking mechanics were adjusted as follows:
- The top tier of three-tier battles will comprise the same number of tank destroyers, SPGs, and light tanks (of both Platoon and solo players) in both teams. For each of these vehicle types, the number of vehicles will be the same in both teams (i.e. they will be treated separately). In addition, the top tier will comprise the same aggregate number of medium and heavy tanks in both teams, but these vehicle types will not be treated separately.
- The top tier of three-tier battles can have only one SPG.
When maintenance has completed please restart World of Tanks using the launcher file (WOTLauncher.exe) and ensure your game client updates properly.
If automatic updating has been enabled in the launcher settings, make sure that the client has finished updating.

Okay wg now unnerf the lights so we can play them…
A lot of this un-nerf LTs comes across as make my tanks OP. They are supposed to be scouts first and foremost, not meds with better view, mobility, and camo.
But MT have same and better view range
Lol most Mets have armor and a gun these lights barely have anything like that.. Infact look at the pen.. T-100lt and look at the accuracy and dispersion.. Before you say anything scum… Lights are supposed to be better at scouting and they have to flank stuff to even do anything to other tanks… Meds just press 2 and say fuck you… You can’t to that in a light tank. So please pass off.
MADOG, don’t be a dumbass..you’re thinking is from 2014 when scouts mattered if they are supposed to be scouts then why cut their viewrange this hard? they have less VR then most tier X meds and heavys.. and where are the scout maps? there are only 3 left.. of the 40+ maps.
Scouts are dead in this game.. wg should make them a light tank class that are just weakly armored meds with good guns but lower dpm and faster speed..

Curry43 said all. LTs wheren’t nerfed at all. The fact that ur actual tier 7 or 8 doesn’t perform like before the patch is just because they dont have to see tier 10 most of the battles anymore. Now they have normal +/- 2 MM like any other tank, their performance now is balanced according to that.
So now it will be imposible (not hard or deficult, but realy imposible) to get Tamada Yoshio Medal
New Tamada Yoshio Medal = destroy 2 enemy SPGs bla bla bla. Destroyed SPGs must be two tiers above the player’s vehicle.

Does this imply: the top three tiers VIII IX X
or: in case the mm selects a three different tiers, then the top tier tanks only….
I think the latter, I hope the first.
basically: yes you can still have three maus tanks in a platoon rapid tier VIII tanks. Why not the heavies as well and the mts Give me a break.
Change #2 seems redundant. Why not 3 tier X arty on each side? The other side will have 3 tier X arty too after change #1 is implemented.
I think it is so that no more crybabies will say things like “omg all tier X’s are arties”
Love the change preventing 3 tier 8 meds vs 3 tier 8 heavies as it keeps the overall balance more even. Glad they didn’t treat meds and heavies as their own class though; helps to vary games. As for the arty changes, this was unnecessary. As someone said earlier, 3 tier ten arty facing 3 tier ten arty is fine, I don’t see an issue here.
As an NA player and owner of a couple of the new lights, an u-nerf is not necessary. While mediums can fit a “build” for an attack tank, while still having a great view range with a skilled crew; lights can do something similar. At tier 10 (and to l lesser extent the lower tiers) the NEW lights rely upon their mobility more than their view range. As the new lights base view ranges are similar to that of tier 10 mediums, they can achieve the great view ranges without much more than a skilled crew. The only reason to “build” a tier 10 LT for scouting is if you want to scythe through bushes and camo on certain maps (One player in a clan may be the designate for this role). Otherwise, their setup is similar to mediums. However, their firepower (even with modifications) should be in no way comparable to that of the mediums, as their mobility vastly makes up for it (Ignore the Bat Chat, and maybe the tvp but…). Having owned and played some comparators, the m48 and XM551, I can say with certainty that with my play-style I have a bunch more fun in the Sheridan (Avg Dmg is 1.8k, my m48 is 2.1k).
Overall, the feedback I’ve seen from NA and in games is that the patch is great overall. MM fixes work well, lights are a bunch of fun, and artillery doesn’t one shot you while still allowing the artillery to do a respectable average dmg through their constant hits.
They are useless in clan wars you tart why take a light when a med tank out classes it in scouting is what im trying to say here you prick.
3 top tier heavies Vs 3 top tier meds is still possible!
As the text says, they’re not treated desperately
It only prevents the matchmaker to match 3 meds OR heavies against 3 tier lights, td’s or Artie’s
Example: if you have one light, and two heavy top tiers on one side, then the other will get one light as well, and two heavies OR meds as well. Change lights with td’s or arty as you like 😉

I guess this micro-patch is on the NA server. It was not really clear by reading the post. I don’t understand why it is so hard to write that early on in the post (which server cluster the post relates to). Anyway…definately seems like a must have addition. I hope this micro-patch will already be implemented on the EU server as 9.18 goes live today?
Ah sorry it seems I didn’t read the post before this one. It seems the fix is in what we got on EU thanks to our NA test-rabbits 😉
the scouting are dead. A shot of arty and you’re stoned in the middle of the lawn and died after 2 seconds. Arty too overpowered. For example TD tier V-VI ( T67 or Stug) When spotted they have no chance against arty fire. Oneshotted!
My opinion 9.18 has become another super arcade game. Similar to an online shooter.
Are not FPS but FTS (first tank shooter).
