not exactly… technically wg could add AT LEAST 3 more heavies that could make it as tier 10. but this is a good step by wg so far…. we will probably see them at some point in the future.

FYI: the tier 10 could have add 280mm of frontal armor based on the final blueprints of the 49 project. but obviously that would be pretty hard to balance and so wg nerfed it to a STILL strong 220mm with SLOPING.

  1. WoT Gamer says:

The gun stats are incomplete. The tier X e.g. has two guns: A 130mm (pen: 250/280/65, alpha: 560/560/640) and a 120mm (pen: 264/325/65, alpha: 400/400/515).

    1. DickherMax says:

130mm with 560 alpha? IS-7 has only 490. And I doubt this french HT will have even worse gun handling.
Cheez I hate this powercreep increasing with each new line. Everything just to make them appealing enough so people spend gold and free xp to jump to them.

  2. Pedalpowered says:

The tier 8 looks good, the others are going to be frustrating, that tier 10 has light tank pen and gold ammo. the alpha/aim time/accuracy are all good but fighting superheavies is going to be difficult.

Tier VIII: +107 gold pen (holy smokes!)
    Penetration: 218/325/65mm

Tier IX: +16mm gold pen (worst gold in the game)
    Penetration: 242/258/64mm

TIer X: +30mm gold pen (worst for a tier 10 heavy (HE does not count))
    Penetration: 250/280/65mm

    1. Bear in mind that the tier 10 with 130mm gun has AP as gold ammo. With 5 degrees of normalisation it is much better than most 330 HEAT in most normal situations especially against Russian and other sloped tanks.
Like you say though it could struggle against the Maus and Type 5 but that’s pretty much it.

      1. Anonymous says:

The penetration of 130mm gun (250 AP/280 AP)is almost the same stats as that of Type 5’s 140 mm gun(249 AP/282 AP). While everyone was complaining the poor 282mm pen of Type 5 before it had 152 mm gun, obviously French HT’s 280mm pen is extremely low. Although AP has 5 degree normalization, remember HEAT won’t ricochet until 85 degree while AP is 70 degree. This makes a huge difference when shooting well-sloped but thin armor(e.g, the top of Centurion AX’s turret)

what the fuck… shit I was expecting the char 50tb to be the tier 10… ah well this tier 10 looks pretty as well. I just hope the char 50tb will be added at some point as well…

  4. blackswordsman says:

what happened to the char 50t b??? I thought that was going to be made since it already existed long ago in wot but never made it in to the game…

  5. Joe Duggn says:

It seems to be the new way to have the Tier IX and Tier X tanks as much as possible as the same thing. Japan Heavy, This line, French SPG, British Heavys and so forth. I don’t like that.

  6. Anonymous says:

So the tier 10 has a 130mm that does 560 damange like the German 128mm, but the is7 still only does 490 at 130mm… WG logic is gonna give me an stroke or something worse.

    1. Justin says:

the caliber of the shell does not determine the weight of power of the shell etc. So the damage inflicted can very between guns of the same caliber or similar calibers.

      1. While you are technically correct, I dont think thats a common occurence. Why create a larger shell, but put less explosives in?
Most important thing is muzzle velocity and penetration capabilities, a tank that gets penned is quite often a dead tank, so really the alpha is a balance number, but I do agree that they should keep alpha roughly the same for the same caliber.

      2. DickherMax says:

This tank has 300mm of armor on turrent with no weakspots. -8 degrees on gun. 560 alpha instead of 490. Gun handling seems to be way better (0.32 vs 0.38 / 2.1s vs 2.8s). Only pen is the same, 20mm less on gold but this one will have APs as gold most likely with better normalization, IS-7 has APCR).
Plus, it seems like this one will get 120mm too, as an alternative. IS-7 has no choice.
Only 1s longer reload seems worse, but I would gladly give 1s reload for -8 degrees.

    1. pecae says:

Yes in this game franch SF tank have 300mm armor in tier 9 and in tier 800 vs tiger 2 180…. I think this french armor too OP for this tier but have shit gun

    1. WhiteBaron777 says:

You’re joking, right? The tiger P is worse in almost every category, except in armor which doesn’t matter since it’s frontal weakspots are bigger than the strong spots

    2. peter smith says:

Tiger P awesome tank, +800 games +60% wins, you just need a rammer, bia and keep out of the open… About the French, surely they could have made the line from T6 up?

  7. nrnstraswa says:

Excellent, infp on the AMX 65t at last. Still a shame that tiers 2-7 aren’t happening.
    Premium Char 2C and/or FCM F1 please.

  8. Anonymous says:

Hmm, just a suggestion, but I think it would be better if we swap places between the premium AMX M4 49 and AMX 65t, the line would look way better.
    – AMX M4 49 -> from premium to normal tier 8 tank
    – AMX 65t -> from normal to premium tier 8 tank

And the line would be AMX M4 from tier 7 to 10

    1. Maybe they’ll make it possible to research the 50 120 from the 65t since the chassis is the same. it’s a logical knot for the the tech tree, but logic =/= Wargaming…

  9. Adinias says:

    Wow.
Not to sound salty or anything, but it feels like it’s been forever since ACTUAL tanks had been added. As in, non-premium tanks.

I know the game (arguably) isn’t suppposed to be pay to win. But I do definately see WG trying to make premiums more and more attractive. I even see more and more premiums being added. Personally, I’ve always been a Casual WoT player. I may have spent a little over 50 euro’s total on premium content, but that was because I found it worth it those times.

There should be a balance between the amount of regulars and premiums they add, not just add a lot of regular tanks with no premiums, but also not a lot of premiums only.

A good balance would be adding a tank tree and then finding one tank that doesn’t quite fit in, but which is an awesome concept nonetheless. Then add that one tank as a premium alongside that entire tank tree.

But of course, I know that isn’t gonna happen. It just would’ve been awesome.

  10. I am definitely looking forward to french heavy tanks and I am pleased they will add those 3 tanks. However I really want a branch of french super heavy tanks even if it stops at tier 6 or 7. There are plenty of them, FCM F1, FCM F1 first project (1939), FCM 2C, 2C bis, 2C ter, FCM F4, FCM 1A, AMX tracteur C 1939 and 1940, ARL char C 1939 and 1940, FCM BB, STCC arrêt … (all of those have enough information to be modelled, but there is even more obscure designs like SEAM 220t).

  11. Gal_Ardent says:

Looks good to me, whaever the stat. As soon as you master forces and weaknesses; you are the king of the battlfield.

  12. Kingstoler says:

This is what the game needs. People will always find something to complain about but tanks that aren’t completely broken? Give me. 250/280 pen is plenty imo. It’s a little bit weird why the 130mm gun does 560 while the 130mm gun on the IS-7 does 490, (not that the IS-7 needs any more buffing) but weird to see this kind of thing.

  13. General Soren says:

What I think is that they should add somua sm as tier 7 after arl before the amx 50 100 it is a much better fit and at tier six after the Renault g1 they should add the lorraine g1 (it already has an icon) and it should lead into the amx m4 45 wich should lead into the amx 65 t
    Sort of like this:
    V VI VII VIII
    Bdr g1– arl 44– somua sm — amx 50 100
    R g1 —- L g1 — amx m4 45–amx 65t

  14. This will make 4 AMX M4 series tanks;the 45,49,51,54 i find it a bit funny how the 65t is a bit of an oddball in the lineup,it makes me wonder if they will make a reroute of the branch from
AMX M4 45 to spilt to both the 65t and
AMX 50 100 and perhaps have a down branch from thr 65t to the 50 100 for slightly less exp, sort of like the end of the russian medium tank lines
