WoT Supertest Maps


Good day everyone,

Quick post, two new maps in supertest have been posted by the WoT VK account. Tenatively named “Airport” and “Docks” (here’s hoping those change) both maps are Asian themed, with docks bringing in a few warships for setting:

    Those TD hills on both maps tho. So on Port, youve got one side where all your heavies can punch themselfs directly in the face closerange with enough cover to not get flanked or punished by arty and one open side where your TDs will punish anyone who is trying to do anything. The middle is mostly useless due to td hills and those tunnels will be absolut death traps.

    And on Airport its nearly the same. One side with TD camping hills much open ground and not so much cover –> deathzone par exellence. The middle is also in the TDs camping hill range so playing there will also be difficult.
    And then the heavy-corner-closerange-brawl-side.

    Both look pretty boring to me.
    Well at least we get some new maps, thats good.

    1st one looks like a Pearl River revamped; in the 2nd one, they droped the village and added a port, that’s why it isnt Hidden Village anymore. But both seemed good.

    docks seems like a great but i do hope that the open space will be a bit more less open. AND it has a undergrouend spot so it will be a non friendly arty map with all the building you can enter too.

    About the Maps, I don’t know what to say exyctly, till now. The Port map is just another example of their stupid “one side urban or industrial closed area, and the other side open and with a lot of obvious TD-camping spots ” schematic… The same like Pilsen, Ensk (exapt that ist much smaller) and so on.
    The Island one looks better to me, could be interesting, but that one follows one of their other stupid schematics in map design, with a large inaccessible (or death valley like and therefore unusable) area in the middle.

    Its so sad, that they apparently really try to come up with fresh new map designs, but always ending up with the same crap, packed into some new looks.
    They just don’t have the right people, that understand the gameplay good enough, to do the job, it seems

  5. the Island one seems better, it has some pretty clear corridors but each corridor seems to have at least 2 or 3 ways to access it, there’s even cases where you can sit far away amd snipe the guys attacking through those corridors, it would be interesting

    First map is “meh,” and the second map is better, but has the white/blue ship out of proportion…its too big.

    Why does Wargaming think they need to “re-invent the wheel” when it comes to maps?

    How long has the community been asking for the old maps? Not re-designed, or ones themed like the older maps, but the REAL old maps they took out of the game that we enjoyed playing!

    Remember Wargaming… its about player enjoyment, and what they deem as enjoyment….. not you.
