But they have the veiw range to COUNTER said concealment… Here let me give you an Example bro.. if you have say 500 view range you can spot shit in bushes like lights in bushes lol

      2. Dan says:

camo and view range works both ways, if you have a medium with 400 meters view range and 12.5% camo against a light tanks with 390 view range and 25% camo, the medium will be out spotted by 41.25 meters, roughly one map square on most maps.

        [390-390*.125]-[400-400*.25]=41.25

In the case of the T-100, running optics, vents, rammer/vstabs against an Obj 140 running optics, rammer, vstabs. The T-100 has a max view range of 495.84 meters and 42% camo stationary and on the move. The Obj 140 has 497.24 meters max view range and 34.21% stationary camo and 26.35% camo on the move.

        Stationary:
        [495.84-495.84*.3421]-[497.24-497.24*.42]=37.81 meters

        On the move:
        [495.84-495.84*.2635]-[497.24-497.24*.42]=76.79 meters

Assuming the Obj 140 player is not running optics, and instead vents, his max view range is 462.32 meters. The math below shows:

        Stationary:
        [495.84-495.84*.3421]-[462.32-462.32*.42]=58.07 meters

        On the move:
        [495.84-495.84*.2635]-[462.32-462.32*.42]=97.04 meters

In every case, the scout out spots the medium by 1-2 map squares and has better view range than its counterpart. I do not mean to say that lights and mediums are well balanced but it always strikes me as odd when people note that light tanks have worse view range and can be out spotted by mediums.

      3. @Dan: You’re neglecting the fact that you can not carry over the view range skills recon and situational awareness from the T-54ltw. to the T-100ltw. because the crew roles change and you loose one crew member. So unless you’re reskilling your whole crew for gold (WG would like that) you don’t have those skills on the T-100 lt. Also BOTH viewrange skills are on the commander… since 6th sense and arguably camo are more important skills on a light tank you need to have at least 4 full crew skills to have the (allmost) maximum view range and 5 skills to include the brothers in arms viewrange bonus. On the Obj. 140 you can have the highest possible viewrange after your second or 3rd crew skill allready.

  1. Blackswordsmen says:

Not good enough. Amx 105 should have at least 410 view range… it has worst view range than all mediums and hvys right now

  2. Backslash says:

im not a big fan of the idea that a specific caliber of gun can have multiple damage outputs depending what tank its on. it is possible in the first place but it depends on the length of the barrel, amount of propellant used, size of the warhead used, weight of shell…there are many variables that determine the effectiveness of the shell from a specific cannon. if wargaming are making a point that each gun can have different firing parameters, it sure looks like they do not posses a set equation to determine them.

  3. SirGruut says:

These buffs are great and well needed, most lights didnt even have the reload to keep tanks tracked.
Quite a few people mention view range but i dont feel like they need it because of there great camo (10m would be nice tho)

    1. Never mind says:

When the T3 FCM 38 Pak 40 and the T8 Super HTs have better view range than the T10 LTs there is something way FKed up. never mind the massive Hit Point disadvantage.

  4. I like this kind of changes like alpha and ammo capacity, dont give a s… about viewrange with my 6 skill crews and food. More ammo for AMX 13 90 would be nice too.

  5. Rani says:

Like come on… everyone on the test server will swap optics for food and use vents… light tanks were perfect in the supertest then when everyone got taste of them they got nerfed… obvious that normal test server where everyone uses the best equipment and ammunition that light tanks were going to be more powerful than what they actually are. But in the normal games… where half of the people use standard accounts like myself… a lot of the time heavy tanks can spot my light tanks. Especially t54 light weight.. bcz simply they have better view range….
And hou can’t afford food every game if you actually want to make at least a small profit each game

  6. wremisekrummels says:

so after all these buff, the biggest advantage of the wz is gone? what does it still have then? a better turrent, and worse gun soft stat?

  7. Anonymous says:

Great so now the wz-132-1 is left out of the buff and is probably nothing special now they that all the others get the same alpha

  8. Never mind says:

Thoughts from a friend who has the T10 LTs: “The real problem with T10 LTs is their hit points. If you can have only 3 or 5 T10s in a match and you drive an LT, you are depriving the team of between 500 and 1500 HP per game. If your T10 is a Maus, you have given your team a 1000HP advantage. Now I love driving my T10 LTs but I have stopped doing it very often because it weights matches towards a loss for my team. I have to be sure to do 1.5x my personal HP in damage just to keep a game close to balanced in outcome, and that can be hard to do consistently as tanks like the 132-1 which I love, has terrible accuracy and aim time, and average DPM but that 0.40 dispersion kills it in matches.”
